The vile Cynthia McKinney is no more. Thank you, Georgia.

Henry C. “Hank” Johnson declared victory about 11:05 p.m. in his campaign against U.S. Rep. Cynthia McKinney.

Johnson had 59 percent of the vote compared with 41 percent for McKinney, with 89 percent of precincts reporting.

“I feel really good about where are,” Johnson said.

McKinney’s history has been unusual. Has any other representative been elected, then rejected in a primary, followed by a rinse and repeat?

Wonder if she’ll be back again, for better or worse.

  2. Congratulations, ‘centrists.’ Now you have another Republican-approved, AIPAC-supported Dem in office. Does the progress begin now?

  3. Dugger says:

McKinney’s loss was a loss for Republicans as well, but Lamont’s victory (hoping Lieberman doesn’t go independent) helps.

c.m. has her problems but she is “vile”? strong words. just a question–have you ever dated a black woman? you have clearly revealed your preferences in the past 9pathetic really) and you seem like the kind of fat black guy that even mildly attractive black women ignore / resist. sort of like a liberal-centrist rotund c. thomas. vile indeed.

  5. Sarah says:

Well, Oliver certainly doesn’t need this Republican to defend him — he’s just too polite to respond to such a pathetic attack. I notice that you don’t bother to defend C.M. — probably because you can’t — instead you go after Oliver. Grow up.

Holy God, Kay, you just raised the bar.
