I’m blogging from the line outside the theater for the late night early showing of Superman Returns. Unsurprisingly it’s geek central.
This better not suck.

All the previous Superman movies sucked so why should this one be any different. Spiderman sucked too. As did Batman. Superhero movies are stupid.
“Practically perfect?” From this I can only assume that Superman has a cheery disposition, Rosy cheeks, no warts! Play games, all sort He must be kind, He must be witty, Very sweet and fairly pretty.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but does Lois know?
“This better not suck.”
A mantra for the 21st century, if ever one were.
Simianco, I’m not by any stretch of the imagination a fan-boy, but I thought the first two Supe flix were pretty good. Margot Kidder as a likeable heroine, however, is a casting decision that has not aged particularly well. Experts in the field call it, “The Brenda Walsh/Shannen Doherty effect.”
