You don’t say!
Senior U.S. intelligence officials said Thursday they have no evidence that Iraq produced chemical weapons after the 1991 Gulf War, despite recent reports from media outlets and Republican lawmakers.
Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania and Rep. Peter Hoekstra of Michigan on Wednesday pointed to a newly declassified report that says coalition forces have found 500 munitions in Iraq that contained degraded sarin or mustard nerve agents.
They cited the report in an attempt to counter criticism by Democrats who say the decision to go to war was a mistake.
In a way, I’m disappointed. I was hoping it’d be at least a week to string their trolly hopes along. At least they still have their magical WMD convoy from Iraq to Brigadoon!
I’m reminded of that joke a few years ago “Of course we have proof that saddam has WMD, we kept the reciepts!”
I was actually curious about what had happened to them… funny it turns out they kept them past their sell-by.
Look…we were told the folowing:
“Grave and Gathering Danger”
“Imminent threat” (or whatever it was that Chimp said.)
I think most of us thought that if WMD existed at all, they were chemical, BIOLOGICAL, and/or nuclear weapons capable of being transferred to the hands of terrorists who would use them to kill innocent Americans, or any one of our allies.
We all knew that he used chemical weapons against his own people. Bush and Cheney had us believing that he had huge stockpiles of these things hidden away, just waiting to be used against Americans, even on our own soil!
There is nothing “Grave and Gathering” about 500 neutered chemical munitions that are nothing more than leftovers from the Reagan era.
And this is what you hang your hat on, Republicans?
PLEASE, PLEASE, DEAR GOD, tell us you have more than that?
Too many young Americans have lost their lives for you to be jerking off on this one.
Your depravity knows no boundaries.
JK
Santorum demonstrates one again how the GOP is the faith-based party of wishful thinking.
