    It’s a classic smear tactic- “some say that” or “it has been reported”. Just a smarmy way to hide a smear.

    Your outrage would be a lot more believable if you hadn’t defended Kerry & Edwards for doing THE SAME THING vis a vie Mary Cheney. Or if you hadn’t defended Howard Dean for speculating that Bush was responsible for 9/11.

    When you start taking Reynolds to task for defending your side, it’s time to start reflecting whether you’ve gone around the bend.

    Yes, because complementing a father’s support for his out lesbian daughter in a debate is EXACTLY THE SAME THING as implying a straight person is gay, while using the passive voice.

    Some say ferris is gay. I don’t know what that has to do with this debate, but that’s what I have heard.

    fc, you’re missing an important part of Reynold’s post: offer of proof that said rumor is false as well berating those who put stock in the rumor.

    Then why did he bring it up, if not to smear kos with innuendo? Who is saying that kos is gay?

    BTW, having a wife doesn’t preclude someone from being gay. You can ask Gov. McGreevy about that.

    No, but it is EXACTLY THE SAME THING as outing a person for no other reason than to try and appeal to the anti – homosexual feelings of potential voters for that candidate.

    It worked so well, didn’t it?

    Farris: linking to something objectionable and then distancing himself from it is simply the way Instapundit operates. That’s why I think he’s lower even than the Coulter/Malkin types: they are clear in their hate speech. He’s a vehicle for hate speech who pretends that he isn’t.
