Clearly the Democrats refuse to lead on moral authority, all common sense to the contrary, so maybe they’ll just be craven poll watchers
A narrow majority of Americans — 53 percent — favors setting a timetable for U.S. troop withdrawal from Iraq, with 47 percent saying the deadline should be in a year or less, according to a CNN poll released Friday.
Unless, as I’m beginning to believe, they like being in the minority.
Well if you add up a sizeable portion of the democratic senate, combine people with an ethnic and historical reason to back a proxy war for Israel (Leiberman and Schumer, who also backs the war…by the way: he’ll probaly back Leiberman even if he makes an indy run in order to keep the pro proxy war for Israel delegation in force) with sellout DLC joe biden type dems, then, yes, they’re perfectly happy to let Big Business rape us!
That’s probably the functional definiton of fascism but you should make that call…
Plus, they don’t like you Oliver. You know black people. They would rather lose when it comes to helping the black base, which, as you know, has nowhere to turn. Unless you’re the kind of ken blackwell maryland candidate who would don the silver of the confederacy and fight against his own people’s interest…
That’s also the big story behind the republican theft of the last two national elections. Blatant theft and suppression of the black vote is how they stole those elections. Go listen to the Pallast stuff at Democracy Now. Should be a big story…if there was an independent black press that is… I guess you’re it.

“Once the minority of House and Senate are comfortable in their minority status, they will have no problem socializing with the Republicans…” Grover Norquist.
It’s all about the polls, aint it Ollie. If the polls told you to jump off a bridge…….Maybe when you grow up you’ll understand the world and the fact that there is evil and hard work to be done. “You can’t handle the truth”.
Best wishes in growing up and gaining some perspective on life.
jms: I’m puzzled… Oliver is suggesting that the democratics ignore the poll and “stick to principle”, but you’re criticizing for being a slave to polls..
Am I right?
