Make Them Attack You

For a few months now I have been an avid reader of The Ford Report, a grassroots blog supporting the Senate campaign of Rep. Harold Ford, Jr. So imagine the surprise when I realized the blog was doing such a good job, the wingnuts at the National Republican Senatorial Committee decided to go on the attack.

    The Republicans say Ford has a liberal record.
    Ford says they’re lying.
    The Republicans say they’re not lying.
    This differs from politics as usual how?
    Let me put this in terms a football fan will understand: 25 of the strongest, fastest men you can find will never win a game with a bat and a catcher’s mitt.

    I did enjoy this bit from the writer of the post that generated the NRSC response: [paraphrasing] “I’m just an average teenager…who is about to be sworn in as county commisioner.”
