If the efforts were truly about securing our border, including the the northern border, it would have much more credibility. The other problem is that this is being used as another wedge issue to try and fire up the base by many republicans in the House. That's what makes the House Republicans stubborn refusal to work with the Senate in any sort of compromise, suspect. While it is possible that a terrorist could cross over into the US through the southern border, it is more likely that they will come from the north, which doesn't seem to concern the folks who are pushing this entire debate. Mexico has a negligible Arab and Muslim population, however large numbers of immigrants from the Middle East have been entering into Canada in recent decades. And while the vast majority are law-abiding, Canadian authorities estimate that roughly 50 terrorist groups operate in the country. In fact, three suspected terrorists have tried to enter the United states from Canada, including Ahmed Ressam, an Algerian native arrested in December 1999 on his way to blow up Los Angeles International Airport.

I love Lou Dobbs& I think he tells it like it is& and says a lot of things that others are afraid to say& Kudos to Dobbs

So do the folks at the council of conservative citizens, which have the screen from Lou Dobbs on their website. According to them, Texas, California, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado were all derived from “European civilization” (i.e white people).

I doubt that even Lou Dobbs, wants to be linked with the above kind of ignorance.
