Seems to me that Clinton in ‘93-’94 and ‘98 had lots of political trouble. Care to point me to the NY Times articles engaging in Clinton worship during that time?

Just one cite of the NY Times comparing Clinton to Moses. I’d even settle for an apostle. Other than Judas, that is.

All I’ll say is this — if a Democrat was in the kind of political trouble that Bush is in right now, the New York Times would be running the kind of story that ‘Anchoress’ wrote at least once a month. And on their front page. Anything to get those approval ratings back over 50%.

To be fair, the metaphor, as used by whoever actually said it, depends on Bush not being anywhere near Moses.

If you can stand reading the rest of that post, you find that Bush is not only Moses, but a hell of a tosser. Actually, that’s true.

When the World Series opened in New York City and the President was invited to throw the first pitch, there was no surprise in his throwing (while wearing body armor) a perfect strike.

I’m sure he can throw a perfect strike just like he speaks perfect Spanish, can land a figher jet on the deck of an aircraft carrier, reads the Nicomachean Ethics for relaxation and does all the other things his worshippers says he does. Not only that, his new clothes are invisible.
