That anyone, even the most confused among us, would believe anything Matt Drudge writes. The guy is so consistently wrong on his original “reporting” he makes Fox News look legitimate. (Andrew Sullivan continues to prove his worthlessness on Earth, though I’m sure he will soon regale us once again with how daring and bold it is for him to be a gay conservative)
Ok, when even those bastions of conservative thought, newsmax, cnsnews and frontpagemag aren’t reporting it, you know something might off… Normally they would jump at anything saying the Dean (or any democrat) is remotely wrong. The fact that this story is conspicuously absent (at least as of this writing) makes me wonder…
My question is, if he is right, so what? Why shouldn’t the party rid itself of Nagin? His record on Katrina is beyond horrible and his comments on religion show him to be more akin to Robertson/Falwell than anyone in the Democratic party. Who cares if he is black?
Dugger,
He actually had a show on Fox News back in the early days. He was fired for incompitence (and insubordination) after smeering a few folks in pursuit of an anti-abortion story. When FOX NEWS says you’re bad, that means something…
Be honest. Drudge is best at what he does. He is usually first with the story. As such, naturally, he will miss once and a while. And as a conservative, I don’t see him as a conservtaive. He just doesn’t take the Big Media liberal line.
Fox News is legitimate – just ask Hotel Tango CNN.
Dugger
Might’ve been before Fox really realized that sensationalistic lying was the way to make money.
Dugger, fox is about as legitimate as fred phelps. Even the blindcons around here don’t watch fox because they know its too slanted.
LB and Quickie,
I accept you don’t like him, but if Fox is illegitimate as is often said here, wouldn’t their condemnation of Drudge be a postive creddential in your eyes? I guess it gets down to whom you regard as the greater evil: Drudge or Fox.
I like Fox for me, there’s one news source that is not automatically left wing). I check Drudge because he almost always gets it first. His daily hits suggest others feel the same way. And is there a blogger out there who posts alot without a signifcamnt number of errors. Can do lots of stuff every day and that not be the case.
Dugger
Drudge is good at posting newspaper links because he has good contacts who leak him the story early. Whenever he’s done original reporting its been bad.
Oliver says, “The guy is so consistently wrong on his original reporting he makes Fox News look legitimate.”
So … tell me, um, how’s that Karl Rove indictment thing going these days?
In any event, it seems to me that it’s perfectly reasonable for the DNC to have given Nagin the Carl McCall treatment, considering that Mitch Landrieu is a part of one of Louisiana’s powerful, rich, white “good-old-boy” Democrat dynasties. Money and family connections still control politics, if you all haven’t noticed.
Yes, one guy on the left – who I certainly didn’t believe and didn’t post on – is equivalent to 15 years of Drudge.
>>As such, naturally, he will miss once and a while.
How about the “Clinton Love Child” story? Drudge even went to the lengths of putting up a picture of the child in question.
When he misses, boy…he REALLY misses, doesn’t he?
SWING…and a MISS.
If you read Drudge, you’re really about 1/8th of an inch more credible than the fruitcakes that read the Enquirer as their weekly source of news. What the “Clinton Love Child” story demonstrates, is that he’s willing to throw everything but the kitchen sink at someone he really doesn’t like if there’s even a small chance he’s right.
You didn’t like it when Dan Rather did it, you dumb ass, Dugger….so why is it OK with Drudge? I’ll tell you why. Because he’s in your camp.
Happy camping.
I’m afraid to ask you Dugger, how much “Reality TV” you watch.

Matt Drudge is first out — and that means (and he admits it) that sometimes being first out doesn’t allow time for corroboration. Mr Drudge has his niche.
Fox News is almost always right on as far as the news is concerned, just as CNN is almost always accurate in reporting the actual news. But both have an editorial slant, CNN’s to the left and Fox’s to the right. When you get to their various opinion segments, or left v. right politics debates, you’ll see a Democrat versus a Republican, and the host of the show is probably going to favor the conservative. That’s no different from CNN, except that the host there is more likely to favor the liberal.
But, of course, Fox has the best looking reporter babes, with the best legs in the business!

Yes, and if you know anything about how news is SUPPOSED to be reporting, he’s nothing more than a glorified gossip columnist? Right?
Speaking of Fox News…Bill “I shagged my Producer and paid her to Shut Up” O’Reilly, is now up in arms about a University of Oregon school newspaper mocking of Christianity. Of course, the quintissential hypocrite, thinks that the President of U Oregon should be fired for allowing such a tasteless exression of free speech.
You have to love these guys…O’Reilly, Bennett, and the like….lecturing the rest of us about morality.
Yes, the cartoons were brutally tasteless. Right message, wrong messenger.
Get a better messenger.

“You didn t like it when Dan Rather did it, you dumb ass, Dugger& .so why is it OK with Drudge? I ll tell you why. Because he s in your camp.”
When you grow up, JK you will be able to see the difference between the two stories and understand the difference between a Drudge type blog site and a major mainstream, supposedly unbiased news show. Dan Rather and Company, using all the huge corporate resources of CBS, used forged documents to try and overthrow a President. Drudge, a lone blogger, prematurely and maybe incorrectly, reported a possible scandal involving (the President.
This all might be confusing to you, but ask an adult to sort it out for you but watch your potty mouth around them.)
Dugger

Dugger…you’re the one mentioning Fox and Drudge in the same sentence. Not me, cupcake.
As for my “potty mouth.” Did June Cleaver raise you?
JK
“As for my potty mouth. Did June Cleaver raise you? ”
Is she raising you now? I mean, your language would indicate immaturity. So I just assumed.
Dugger
I can’t believe people still think CNN is liberal. Clearly, you’ve never actually read a truly liberal news source.
I can’t wait for the Real News (iwtnews.com). That will be proper liberal media.
