While it's obvious that George Bush isn't planning to end US sovereignty for some future North American Union, there are a lot of people who look at the "open borders" advocates (and yes, there are some people who advocate just that) as promoting virtually the same thing. If we are going to allow people to simply walk in, take housing and jobs here and consume American social services, it's a little bit difficult to say that we <i>don't</i> have some sort of NAU.
