The game is called “Border Patrol,” and it challenges players to kill as many illegal immigrants as they can.
The computer game puts the player in charge of guarding the border with a loaded gun. The goal to kill as many people as possible, including pregnant women and children. Pedro Risol and other immigration rights activists are outraged.
“It’s sole purpose is just to offer violence to the immigration question,” Risol said. “It truly is disturbing.”
The site plays up the racial overtones of the immigration debate. Those killed during the game are called “wetbacks.”
Immigration: Seeing is Understanding
The simplest interpretation of this result is that people who rarely see an immigrant can easily scapegoat them for everything wrong in the world. Personal experience doesn’t get in the way of fantasy. But people who actually see immigrants have trouble escaping the fact that immigrants do hard, dirty jobs that few Americans want – at a realistic wage, anyway.
Hating Hispanics is a hard sell. They haven’t been demonized since forever in this country the way African Americans have. I think the perception of Hispanics is that they are weak people who are easy to kick around, fun to bully.
I consider any war on minorities to be a war on me. I’m white, but I’m a woman with some Mexican ancestry whose California forebears saw their land taken away by conscience-free Anglos who were able to convince themselves that things belonging to others actually belonged to them. I say let all the Mexicans in. I can’t be bothered to be rational on this one.

Um, VRWC. I think what Hattie means by “Mexican ancestry” are those Native Americans who originally occupied the areas that are now called Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California.
In other words, the natives who lived in America when it was still called Mexico.
Yes, my people were Mestizos, mixed Spanish and Indian. Hey, the Anglo ranchers helped themselves. But that’s all in the past. I don’t see any reason to keep Mexicans out, frankly. I mean, so what. Send the crackers back to Oklahoma, if you want to be that way.

I think it’s impossible for any human being– I’d daresay especially no real man– to watch these guys work and not have respect for them. The kind of macho pride and self-respect they get from their dedication to work actually brings tears to my eyes. I see them busting their humps, running businesses, slaving over hot stoves, mowing lawns, doing the same kinds of shit jobs my people did when we first came here.

Suppose I told you that when I read about the “Border Patrol” game, I turned purple in the face, or I fainted or something. What would that have to do with what he (the game maker) did? My lily white grandparents came from Milan. Are they anglos just because they’re white? Don’t you realize that Mexicans (the Spanish ones) were complicit in the past (hell, they wiped out just about all the Mayan writings)? Stop playing the victim and inviting “all the Mexicans in.” You are right, you’re not being rational on this. We don’t have the infrastructure to absorb an entire nation, and our school problems down here in TX are exasperated by this non-stop flow of illegal immigrants, which is driving down the educational standards for everyone.

When people say illegal aliens are taking black jobs, this is true. However, letting them stay in this country will only allow them to take ALL of the American jobs. One can’t even get a job at burger king unless they speak spanish..WTF. I am graduating with my bachelors in less than a year, and I fear that it will be hard for me to get a job because I dont speak spanish. I am hoping that for one they make English the official language, and that they send some of these illegals back to mexico!
