The Right’s “Final Solution”

Conservative Worldnetdaily columnist says mass deportations of Latinos would be easy… because it wasn’t too hard for the Nazis to deport 6 million Jews.

I kid you not.

Holy crap! You really aren’t kidding.

  2. drpedro says:

How come it is always just one individual if it is a democratic, but it is a “culture of corruption” when it is a republican?

    Just curious….

  3. Hedley says:

So one conservative equals “The Right” but one Democrat equals an “idiot crazy guy”? Fair and balanced.

  4. The Democrats? No. One idiot crazy guy who registered as a Dem? Yes.

  5. How many cons support mass deportation? They may not use the Hitler analogy, but I’d bet its a non-insignificant amount.

  6. Hedley says:

And yet the Democrats apparently believe the Holocaust never happened.

  7. Frank_D says:

    He’s no conservative — he’s a blatant white supremacist.

A “trained investigator” like you, Oliver, could have checked out his webpage for 5 minutes, and figured that out.

But why do that, when you can get a cheap headline out of it?

  8. drpedro says:

Or is that too “nuanced” for you leftists?

  9. frameone says:

“anyone see a difference in deporting criminals, and putting citizens in camps because of their religion?”

Um, I think you’ll have to look to Michelle Malkin for the answer to that one, pedro. She supports both.

  10. frameone says:

“How many cons support mass deportation?”

Fuck deportation. How many cons support straight up internment?
    http://michellemalkin.com/books.htm

We’ve got cons on record supporting trains and camps. Anyone wanna take a bet on how long it will be before they go for the hat trick of 20th century horrors?

  12. factcheck says:

All I know is I didn’t see many cons complaining when we rounded up thousands of Muslims after 9/11 and threw them in jail, without charges, access to a lawyer, or even their families being notified where they were.

But hey, as long as they’re brown people, right?

Worldnut daily is about as mainstream neocon as it comes- funded by Scaife, Coors, and Bradley. They may be floating a trial balloon.

  13. Conservative Worldnet Daily and the Final Solution…

Oliver Willis has picked up on something/someone scary.
Conservative Worldnetdaily columnist says mass deportations of Latinos would be easy& because it wasn t too hard for the Nazis to deport 6 million Jews.
    ……

  14. I don’t know much about the logistics of the Nazis’ final solution, but it never struck me as something that would’ve been easy to do. I mean, really, if you’re the sort of numbskull that’s going to all but suggest that we exterminate 12 million people, you could at least be substantively correct on the context.

Also, given that the comments here tend to be about 75% trolls, what is the point of having them?

  15. Frank_D says:

“How many cons support mass deportation? ” … I’d bet its a non-insignificant amount.”
So wanting to deport (illegal) immigrants makes one a Nazi?
Either you want to let all the illegal immigrants stay or you’re a Nazi.
There’s an intelligent debate for you.
I must say, you did beat your opponents to the punch.
I wonder if you can pull that off with, say, “free” healthcare, or tax cuts?
How about, “If you oppose Direct Elections, as opposed to the Electoral College, you’re a Nazi”?

  16. I think these responsible, non-white-supremacist conservatives could do more good for their side by lobbying Worldnet Daily to stop paying that idiot to write columns suggesting that America try the Final Solution on Mexicans, rather than trolling the websites of Democrats, but apparently they would rather do the latter. Not sure what the point is, except to derail any actual debates or even conversations that are happening on liberal sites.

  17. Frank_D says:

Thanks for the advice, Anna. How are things in Cairo?

  18. Not very good for liberals. Thanks for asking.

  20. Frank_D says:

Phile, stop being so intelligent :)

  21. phile says:

Oliver, not only is your Nazi analogy offensive, it implies something that is factually incorrect. Most of the Jews murdered by the Nazis were not German, but were citizens of the many countries the Nazis invaded. They, infact, imported millions of Jews, for the express purpose of murdering them. Comparing immigration hardliners to Nazis only betrays your inability to distinguish between those who are evil and those who simply do not share your views.

Nah, I’ve always preferred being in the minority. around here.

  23. Frank, yeah, I spoke to Sand Monkey the other day on the phone, and he’s worried about his own safety though he is anonymous.

What is happening in Egypt is horrible. I work in a US project with the judiciary. Judges are very angry but their institution has been being compromised and put under executive branch control for years.

At this point in time, a lot of Egyptian conservatives and liberals are uniting against the regime because it is so blatantly evil. This is a good thing, anyhow. (Sandmonkey poitned this out a while back on his blog.) Which brings me back to my point. Go denounce Vox Day to your fellow conservatives, and I think that people like you, Dennis the Peasant, etc. can find things that you and liberals like me and Oliver can work together on, or at the very least, against.

  24. Frank_D says:

Vox Day’s already taking a beating. No point kicking him while he’s down. There are other, more important things going on.
