Does it really take a KKK type to remind any of us what the climate is really like here in america? All is not well for blacks, native people or anyone one of color if a racist decides to attack or stifle our progress. The real ones to be concerned about are the quiet racist and race traitors like the conservative black groups that attack other blacks and support the bushes and cheneys and the like. Yes we continue to be confronted by racism but an idiot from the south is not a problem unless he has a gun or a position of authority over people of color. Watch out the the jesse l. petersons and jesse jacksons type.

A high school teacher says slavery was a good thing.

Why would they bother, Mr Willis? The teacher in question has been put on administrative leave, and won’t be back next year; that’s what passes for “fired” in the real world.

But it certainly raises the question of why Ward Churchill, speaking on the far-out idiot left, could say insanely offensive things, and was defended as having simply exercised his freedom of speech, and there was just no way he ought to be fired from a public school for what he said, yet Winston McCuen voices something from the far-out idiot right, and my left-wing friends, many of whom defended Mr Churchill and his public expressions, up in arms.

There wouldn’t be any hypocrisy in that, could there?

It’s dangerous and naive to associate racism with political affiliation. A month or so ago, a leftist editorial writer for my school, Cornell University, was charged with stabbing a black student in what seemed to be a racially-motivated crime.

Living in the south as I do this type of racist sentiment and orientation is commonplace and not at all remarkable. What is a little unnerving is the hatred that hides behind the fake smiles and mock civility that these people display. The idea that someone this extreme is entrusted with the inculcation of impressionable minds is appalling.
