Are You Serious?

Among the more laudatory things one could say about Jeff Goldstein is that the idiot is brain damaged. Goldstein’s among the more odious people I’ve ever run across, and I’ve met quite a few people in my time. No sympathy.

You are a sad, pathetic man, Oliver.

  2. duros62 says:

So he takes Anti-anxiety pills. Who doesn’t anymore?

  3. Dugger says:

Truly spoken like someone who has zero understanding of the condition.

    Dugger

  4. Any other person, you’d see tons of compassion from me – even to Frank, Dugger, etc. but Goldstein is a stain of a human being.

  5. Jadegold says:

OW’s right; normally, one would have compassion for those who are suffering but Jeffy G. has no redeeming qualities.

Anti – anxiety medication is way down in the hierarchy of psychotropic meds, as anxiety is way down on the hierarchy of psychiatric diagnoses. It’s at the opposite end of the “spectrum” from the ‘big dog,’ schizophrenia.
Nevertheless, mental illness is not funny, least of all to the person who has it.

  7. Roni says:

Frank, please can you clarify what you’re trying to convey in your statement?

  8. Frank_D says:

What you do to, or say about, another human has little to do with them.

Knowing Jeff pretty well, I have a few thoughts to share with the class:

He’s a hell of a nice guy. He’s smart, quick, funny, and can address issues with a level of depth that is pretty rare. He’s also kind, he has a beautiful wife, and a gorgeous son–which might not be his personal “redeeming qualities”, but which certainly speak well of him.

He hits pretty hard, I’ll admit; that isn’t particularly different from a lot of the big names in political writing, though, is it? It’s not as if our host, Mr. Willis, is particularly polite, is it?

I’m not feeling at all piqued by the comments about his use of anti-anxiety medicine. At a certain level, these kinds of attacks are just part of the game. Doesn’t make them nice, but it does make them understandable (and, ultimately, minimal in effect).

But to say that Jeff is an idiot, is brain damaged, and possesses no redeeming qualities as a human being is laughable. It shows that you barely bother to read his work and certainly don’t know him .

Ultimately it doesn’t matter much, does it? There will never be love lost between certain people across that political divide, and I feel pretty sure that Mr. Willis would dislike me almost as much as he dislikes Jeff. It’s still worth saying, though, that Jeff is a good guy. The personal attacks may be part of the game, but, in this case, they also happen to be wrong.

I never visited protein wisdom before now, but having taken a look at a few posts and the associated comments, I have to saw it’s lacking humor and variety. Is the Jeff guy an idiot? Not to the extent his donors are. Is he compassionate? Maybe to the rich. Does he deserve compassion? Who cares? Whatever.

Speaking of having nothing to talk about, I found a post on the only subject I’ve never seen mentioned here:

    Anybody think of any others?

  12. Cyrus the Virus says:

You should know odius, considering who you work for. Maybe if Brocky went on meds, he wouldn’t be a compulsive liar or go around sexually harassing Armstrong Williams.

  13. factcheck says:

Funny, none of you cons seemed to have a problem with David Brock when he was libeling Anita Hill.

Armstrong Williams is a deep in the closet gay man, and he’s one of yours. Or did you forget the sexual harassment suit filed against him by a male aide, which he settled?

  14. Cyrus the Virus says:

Everyone knows Armstrong Williams is gay, so i’m not sure how that makes him deep in the closet.

And it’s obvious to anyone with a brain, which is why it must escape you, that Anita Hill lied through her teeth. The revisionism of you and those on the left doesn’t change that fact.

  15. Frank_D says:

Poor Anita Hill — boy, did she end up in bad shape.

  16. factcheck says:

Yes, that’s right. An unknown, shy college professor from Oklahoma, who had no interest in being public, nonetheless put her whole career on the line so she could lie about a Supreme Court justice nominee. Forgetting that if she had shut up, she could have had any law job in the world through her contact with “Justice” Thomas.

God, you cons are too stupid to live. FOAD already. Maybe Australia would work for you.
