The Stupidity of Attacks On The Liberal Blogosphere

Because what we really need is a former member of the right-wing Christian Coalition who slimed, smeared and attacked Clinton and the other Dems before him to lecture us on Clinton’s legacy. I’m not saying BC was perfect, but find me even one person in the liberal blogosphere who wouldn’t want Clinton over practically anyone on the right as their president.

So, we have a right-wing blog that adovcates the wholesale extermination of Muslims (LGF), another that advocates the wholesale deportation of Mexicans (Malkin), several that await a coming civil-war between liberals and conservatives, several that believe liberals and journalists should be executed for treason, and the biggest one that believes we should just invade any country with oil.

But the lefty blogs are uncivil ‘cuz they use cuss words.

It’s kind of like everyone knows the right wing is batshit crazy, and, after all, you expect batshit crazy individuals to act, well, batshit crazy. After a while, you don’t notice it – “Oh, that’s just batshit crazy Uncle Insta being Uncle Insta.” But heaven forfend these blushing roses should hear a naughty word…that’s beyond the pale.

What are the subjects that the Right Wing would like us to discuss in civil tones? Let’s review:

    Torture
    Warrantless wiretapping of American citizens
    Pre-emptive war
    tactical nuclear first strikes
    internment of US citizens
indefinite detention w/o charge or trial of prisoners
    Secret prisons

Who would have thought that any of these subjects would be a part of the mainstream debate when these people came to power or even after 9-11? To speak civilly about any of these horrors, real and constitutional, is to have already lost as far as I am concerned.
And this doesn’t even begin to cover the Bushies domestic agenda

The Bullmoose? As if anyone needs to take on the unread musings from the ass-end of the blogosphere. You may as well skew a debate with Wizbang in your favor by showing up with a pulse or telling Jeff Goldstein to enlist (for that matter, get a job).
Let their own comically idiotic tirades be their own undoing. Calling them out just gives them license to drop the Cheetos bag.
