That means, if you can wear jeans, you can wear camos.

I don t know about Westminster, CO, but in LA, bandanas are gangwear.

If the school has no rule against them, then they shouldn t be banned, either.

Your "little statement" that my statement was 'Patently false', turns out to be 'patently false'.

School uniforms too, Oliver? Damn. We agree again. (Obviously not for the political reasons you bring to the table, but maybe there's more to your opinion than that...)

We've always been fans of the school uniform idea. This is just another example of why. Honestly, this as well as a whole host of problems would be made null by them, and maybe we could get back to something truly important - like giving the kids the truly great education they deserve.

You're right, I was off-topic. Should'na went there, but I do love to Clinton bait and his moniker is "factcheck". And I demonstrated that he was right!

"In public school, you can wear whatever you want, if it s modest and presentable"

Sorry Frank, but just about every school has a code of dress and policies - so your little prepostion is patently false.

If the school chooses to restrict the wearing of camo and/or bandanas to cut down on tensions between students - they're perfectly within their rights and certainly reasonable to do so.

I haven't always been a fan of uniforms, but dang - they sure to nip alot of issues like this in the bud.

I dare you to investigate the party registration of Principal/

This has political correctness (read: liberal opinions only) written all over it.

This is a no - brainer (meaning, perfect for the liberal mind).

In public school, you can wear whatever you want, if it's modest and presentable.

If the school has no rule against them, then they shouldn't be banned, either.

Whatever happened to freedom?

Sheesh.

Daughter: I want to show that I am an American
A fashion victim.
Kids do not enjoy the same levels of first amendment rights as those of voting (or enlistment) age. Seeing that this is in Colorado (Columbine), they might be sensitive to the use of what could be seen as para-military apparel. Is it more in the perception of the adults? Of course it is. But if that is the rule that the school board, superintendent, principal (and I don't think the principal's political status comes inot play) and vice-principal come up with, then that's the rule.
I guess this girl is going right down to the recruitment office as soon as she graduates, right?

No perjury conviction for Clinton, factcheck, but he did have to pay a $90,000 fine for contempt

Congratulations, stick.

Now run along and explain that to peedro and stop posting off-topic, OK?

This morning on the way to work, I heard a couple of the local right-wing radio shouters talking about getting up a legal defense fund to take this to court.

They're going to exploit this situation in a big, big way. Just watch.

Kids should be allowed to wear whatever the hell they want to school, as long as it doesn't disrupt the classroom environment. Of course, that determination is always going to be made by someone who may or may not have a political agenda.

If you don't let kids express themselves as individuals, then you'll end up with a bunch of sheep, all looking, acting, and thinking the same way.

Uh oh...wait a minute, isn't that the Republican Party?

JK

I saw the pair on TV (FNC) as well. Tony Snow didn't seem to be too sympathetic. If you had more of the clip, you'd see that Tony comes back to question what the hell they're thinking.

Frankly, I don't think her wearing of camo in any way "supports the troops" or is a patriotic display. Slobbily wearing camo's isn't a great patriotic display IMO.

School uniforms sounds like a plan to me, Oliver.

Lovitz: LIAR!

Daughter: "I want to show that I am an American"

No perjury conviction for Clinton, factcheck, but he did have to pay a $90,000 fine for contempt because, in Judge Susan Webber Wright's words, "Simply put, the president's deposition testimony regarding whether he had ever been alone with Ms. (Monica) Lewinsky was intentionally false and his statements regarding whether he had ever engaged in sexual relations with Ms. Lewinsky likewise were intentionally false,"

This is your cue to start your "When Clinton lied no one died!" chant.

Expect to hear this recycled year after year, like a nugget that just won't flush, and has to be debunked constantly, like "Al Gore said he invented the Internet" and "Bill Clinton was convicted of perjury".

The thing is, Faux News type viewers will never verify the facts, and will keep using this as evidence of the "evul libs".
