Not buying it Jay. I know about your past associations, and flirtations.

Well enlighten us. And don't even try that frigging Yahoo Club, because you've smoked too much of the Jerry Garcia lettuce as your memory has gone bad.

So bring it bitch.

And American Idol. LMAO.

And? You're the one who thinks a half-assed band that appeals to stoners and tie-dye wearing t-shirt losers is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Who are you to laugh at anybody?

What would Domer think?

Who gives a rats ass what Domer would think?

Jay C can fight his own battles, but JK, I can t wait to see your blog!

Forget it Frank. JK's not that interesting and neither is what he writes.

Here, I wouldn't want to disappoint little Paulie:
And, by the way, I don t see why I have to define American culture , except in the most general of terms: (Putting together two definitions): The totality of socially transmitted behavior patterns, arts, beliefs, institutions, and all other products of human work and thought, considered as the expression of a particular period (now), and community (Americans here and now).

Now, go piss up up a rope, you jejune, narcissistic, sociopath

And, talk about arrogance: "stop hedging and just answer the question."

Today you're a badgering, narcissistic sociopath.

Oh, the irony of that statement. Has anyone taken a look at Caruso s blog lately? He does these really cheesy scene by scene breakdowns of American Idol. American Friggin Idol.

Uh moron. It's a blog that is focused on POP CULTURE AND SPORTS. References to what is the most popular show on television sort of fits n with that theme. As for irony, imagine the irony of being lectured to about American Idol by a fan of one of the most overrated bands in the history of music, The Grateful Dead.

Well, let s see, Frank and Jay& in the few weeks, alone, I ve worked directly with, and in support of, people from China, Italy, Russia, Japan, and Greece. For the last year or two, you can extend that list to people from just about every walk of life.

China, Italy, Russia, Japan, and Greece? Sounds like you ate at some nice restaurants. Big deal.

My company has offices in France, South American and Asia. When I worked at Cargill that had offices worldwide, I worked daily with our offices in Malaysia and Singapore. We were traders of crude natural rubber. As such, I also worked directly with people from Indonesia, Vietnam, Nigeria, Ghana, etc. For 10 years (age 15-25) I lived in a section of town where 85% of the residents are minorities. The neighbors to my left were from Kenya. The neighbors to my right were Dominican. For close to two years I worked as a children's photographer. The area I worked daily took me mostly to Newark, Irvington, East Orange and Orange. To this day, I still remain in contact with some of the wonderful people I met when working that job.

You live in a state where whitey makes up 85% of the population. I've lived in three states - New York (68%), New Jersey (73%), and Florida (78%) - all of which are more racially and culturally diverse than MA. Bottom line? My experiences and dealings with minorities goes way beyond yours. Like I said, you think you who vote for gives you more credibility on the issue and that's absurd.

JK: Go drive that Mercedes to Australia

I ve worked directly with, and in support of, people from China, Italy, Russia, Japan, and Greece.

Hehe. "Some of my best friends come from other countries." I notice you didn't mention any blacks, Afro -American or otherwise; nor did you mention any Hispanics, from Spain, the Caribbean, or Lain America.

Remind me, please. What were we talking about all day yesterday?

Stop saying republicans are against illegal immigration, that would just be the foot soldier republicans, the elite of the republicans like illegal immigrants. Otherwise they wouldn't be able to maintain their big house and fancy lawns. You can't farm your house cleaning overseas. It's cheap labor, republican leadership is all about that.

Does that make me an expert on race? Hell no, but it proves that Jay doesn't know what he's talking about when he calls me a sheltered white boy.

Jay, you used to be good. But these days, you'll lie to make a point. I think you're better than that.

Frank, I don't hold out as much hope for you. You're just not right in the head.

I just gotta hear what JK )the guy who's fixated on Australia, where they treat their minority like crap) calls a very racially and culturally diverse environment. He probably means there's an Afro - American security guard in the office building where he works, and a Hispanic janitor.

Keep driving that Mercedes, white boy -- you'll make it to Australia some day.

[I copied the entire thread to Word, and then eliminated everything that I thought was irrelevant for whatever reason. There wasn't much left, I'm sorry to say. That says a lot about the American "dialogue" on race.]

Why even express concern about the feelings of white supremacists, as if it s a valid point of view that needs a light shined on it? White supremacists are not a concern for moral people. They didn t earn their superiority, it was given to them on the backs of others. They are wrong and evil and stupid. If it came down to a violent confrontation those of us who agree with OW would welcome it, but before and after we wouldn t give them a second of concern. [emphasis added]
I coould be a wise guy and say, "Yeah, right, ignore them and they'll go away." I won't say that. Instead I'll say, "I'm not concerned about their feelings. I will always be concerned about crazy guys with guns."

And Frank, are you saying white people have something to fear from Al Sharpton and Farrakhan if they become the minority? Because that doesn t make any g-d sense either. What happened at Freddy's didn't make any g-d sense, either.

My amazement at this line of thought is that even though blacks, hispanics, asians and others have some how gotten along as racial minorities in America for hundreds of years, somehow the system s going to fall down if white people are no longer the majority race.

Your amazement may be associated with the fact that the statement came from your imagination. So far, you have said it twice, but no one else has.

And I have to ask the guy who insists that racism exists unabated to this very day, and discounts the effects of the Voting Rights Act, the Civil Rights Act, and Affirmative Action: Exactly how do you define getting along? Because I'm thinking Watts I and II, Detroit and Newark, and let's not forget the Zoot Suit Riots, and the recent friendly demonstrations.

America, fortunately, is greater than any one race. Were whites to become the minority, she would still be great. How decidedly un-American to think otherwise.

It might be "un - American to think otherwise." I wouldn't know, because I don't think that America wouldn't be great if whites were the minority. Perhaps you feel that way, so maybe you could tell me. I never said America wouldn't survive with whites as a minority -- that's the song Oliver's singing. What I said was that there could be some dire consequences to the type of attack against our culture we have witnessed in the last few years, where benighted liberal types have collaborated in slowing down the acculturation of Hispanic immigrants (legal or illegal) by accepting dual language usage nearly everywhere, advocating bi - lingual education, and, as we have seen since yesterday, shouting down pleas for immigration sanity, with screams of racism. Oliver even thinks that the fact that many more Mexicans come here illegally than Canadians, is somehow an indicator of conservatives' racism.

What he meant was pretty obvious to me. Frauds like Sharpton and Farrakhan have made a very good living for themselves demonizing the white power structure. What will they do if whites were a minority? Not that I would give a rats ass, but that s what I read into Frank s questions.
I think you were being unfair with him. His questions seemed rhetorical at best. It wasn t done in a, Oh shit! What will we do if& & ? despondent way.
Almost 100% correct, Jay. I was merely saying that these things were worth thinking about -- mjb's nonchalance, and Oliver's disingenuous twisting of my words notwithstanding.

frameone: Frank has totally confused American culture with White Culture, a culture he depicts as embattled, endangered and in need of protection.
Once again, Paul has substituted his thinking for mine, then negatively commented on it. A boring and lame routine. Stick with the name calling. We're all familiar with it, and you seem to relish it so.
.
From Coronado's comment: Race is a real cultural, political and economic concept in society, but it is not a biological concept, and that unfortunately is what many people wrongfully consider to be the essence of race in humans genetic differences, Templeton said. Templeton may be right about X amount of people but he has not stated who these people are, nor how many there are. That is no surprise. I'm sure that to retain his objectivity, he would never have hazarded a guess. Coronado certainly doesn't know, either, rendering his comment meaningless.

As I ve said, I think if someone is here illegally and found out, they have to go. I don t think amnesty is fair. I don t think we need to seal off our borders.
If you don t think somebody should be here illegally, then why are you opposed to making it more difficult to cross our borders?

Yeah, Oliver, why?

That wraps things up for me. Thanks for the education. I now understand exactly how liberals feel about race and immigration
