Bush Blames Missteps On “Evil Twin”

(Washington) — In a press conference today President Bush revealed the existence of an “evil twin” who has been responsible for his administration’s missteps. Similar to former White House aide Claude Allen and Republican congresswoman Jean Schmidt, the President said his evil twin, Phil Bush, had on occasion taken control of the executive office and led America astray.

“It’s just sort of embarrasing,” the President said, “but Phil liked hanging out at the White House. Next thing I know he’s making spitballs out of my PDBs, sending in troops to Iraq, and talking up what a ‘heck of a job’ Brownie was doing. This guy was just a terror. Not even Laura can tell the difference between us!” The first lady refused to comment on the issue.

President Bush refused to reveal the current location of “Phil”, but claimed that he distinctly remembers Vice-President Cheney suggesting a hunting trip. “Phil loves hunting, almost as much as I do. Only in an… er… evil way.”

The most interesting thing about the “evil twin” defense is how quickly the wingnuts lap it up. Freakin’ hilarious.

They lap up what Rove feeds ‘em. A bunch of saps.

One would think that Allen would have tried this defense approach, before he resigned.
