I should know better than overestimating conservative intelligence, but is Michelle Malkin trying to take a swipe at Russ Feingold by calling him a “cheesehead”? Russ Feingold is the junior Senator from Wisconsin. I think it’s state law that you must be a cheesehead (the other law is you have to name your kid Bart, Brett or Vince).
There’s this thing called football, Mrs. Malkin. Look into it.
Or, she could just not get it. Any other senator its a slam dunk insult, but he’s from Wisconsin.
I think, perhaps, that Malkin was metaphorically implying that Russ Fiengold’s head was made out of cheese, thus taking a swipe at his intellect.
Not the most clever, or original, of jokes. But I’m suprised the “reality-based” community needs it explained to them.
Malkin. Oh, she’s still around?
JK
Im not surprised Farris needs the point of this post explained to him.
It is lame to characterize the zone around his head as a ‘cheesy’
derogation when most of his home staters embrace the term
with affection.
It is perhaps the Gorgon’s projection of her own snakelocks
which inspires her garden variety writing skills.
Bravo, Oliver!
Carve a notch in your belt for another dead messenger.
The message – that Feingold is pulling an idiotic political stunt without a chance of success – lives on.
But hey, Ollie misses the point…just another day in the blogosphere.
The message – that Feingold is pulling an idiotic political stunt without a chance of success – lives on.
Time was when Republicans believed in taking a stand on principle – regardless of whether the entrenched powers let you succeed.
It’s true what they say: power corrupts. It’s just kind of surprising to see how quickly and completely it can corrupt.

Hmmm…I guess everyone is right.
I once was a hardcore conservative. Michelle Malkin is one of the reasons I steered toward the left.
It s true what they say: power corrupts. It s just kind of surprising to see how quickly and completely it can corrupt.
If you’re capable of reading to the end of the sentence, it’s not surprising at all. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.
The corrollary is: Elections have consequences. You win some, you get some power. You win a lot, you get a lot of power.
If you lose a lot, you have two choices: you can blame the winner, the courts, and the voting machine manufacturer, or you can figure out how to win an election.
And if you can’t figure out how to win an election, you must be a Democrat.
There’s one thing Oliver believes that I agree with – if the Democrats don’t begin to STAND FOR SOMETHING, instead of simply being AGAINST WHATEVER BUSH DOES, and really damn soon, it’s just going to get worse for everyone.
I may not agree with his suggestions of what the opposition party should advocate, but they better get their act together and quick if they want to have a say.
If Russ Feingold persists in playing to the moonbat base by doing nothing more substantive that shooting a spitwad at the president, and the rest of your party follows suit, then you’ve all learned NOTHING.
If you can’t come up with an idea to energize the MIDDLE, and bring them to your candidates, then your ongoing national nightmare will continue.
“energize the MIDDLE”=oxymoron
I’m sure Sen. Feingold knows it won’t go anywhere, just as Rep. conyers knows his call for impeachment won’t go anywhere. That ain’t the point. It is a symbolic gesture of their disapproval of the Madness of King George. And it is an important gesture to make, so that when people ask what they weredoing when our Republic was squashed, they don’t have to say “nothing much.”
Politically motivated? DUH! They’re politicians, dumbass! Picking out their socks in the morning is politically motivated. I’m so sick of people whining about how things are politcally motivated. That is a given. Now shut up and get back to work.
If Russ Feingold persists in playing to the moonbat base by doing nothing more substantive that shooting a spitwad at the president, and the rest of your party follows suit, then you ve all learned NOTHING.
The only bats are the gutless democrats like Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, Joe Lieberman, Harry Reid and others who all voted for the war in Iraq because they did not have the intestinal fortitude to stand for principle the same way they are doing here. The truth is Bush broke the law and still insists on doing it, in spite of objections by Congress and the American people. One thing I will agee with PGG, if the gutless assholes who run the democratic party dont learn to stand for something, other than condemning, Bush they will continue to lose to a party that’s doing everything it can to keep average Americans pissed off at them.
