By that measure, Dick Cheney is the most liberal politician in the United States.

It’s not merely our right to question our government, it’s our duty

Like, wow, man, that’s so totally thirty years ago!

  3. Hedley says:

It must be cool to be a liberal — you get to curse.

  4. Dugger says:

Fine. He just forgot to capitalize. He is a Liberal, not a liberal.

What is it that conservatives have based almost their entire platform on for the last 100 years? The failure of big goverment. Th below quote is from the GOP’s “Contract with America.” 1990’s.

“As Republican Members of the House of Representatives and as citizens seeking to join that body we propose not just to change its policies, but even more important, to restore the bonds of trust between the people and their elected representatives.”

You could not be any more stump-like in your ability to step into the poop.

So OW do you agree with him?

Cause you left a big screed about how you WERE’NT a liberal just a few electrons back didn’t you?

Sorry, just trying to keep up with what you guys were trying to call each other these days….

  8. z_adura says:

Dr. P, we’re all a bit confused about the labels we use to describe each other. When I last checked, conservatives were effete, prep schoolers who railed against foreign entanglements and sought balanced budgets. Now it seems that conservatives are blue-collar tough guys who want endless warfare at any cost.

Hopefully someday, we will see through these sad, outdated labels and get back to solving America’s problems.

  9. drpedro says:

I am just trying to see if OW has a single consistent bone in his body…

  10. z_adura says:

Dr. P, Does it matter to you whether OW is consistent about his political taxonomy? These are all just meaningless labels. For example, you might call yourself conservative AND a Bush supporter. Bruce Bartlett might call you a hypocrite for staking that position. Who’s right? Better yet, who cares.

  11. drpedro says:

It is telling simply because in one post he is attempting to distance himself and in another he is giving an “attaboy” to a famous hollywood liberal.

    Says something about the man….

Ultimately you are right, they are labels that really don’t have a lot of meaning in themselves. However, when you are attempting to “brand” something as OW is doing to try to push his agenda, I think it is important to call BS when it comes up as blatantly as this…

    Too funny:

“Miss Huffington’s blog is purposefully misleading and I have asked her to clarify the facts. I stand by my statements but I did not write this blog. With my permission Miss Huffington compiled it from interviews with Larry King and The Guardian. What she most certainly did not get my permission to do is to combine only my answers in a blog that misleads the reader into thinking that I wrote this piece. These are not my writings – they are answers to questions and there is a huge difference.”

Wasn’t Reagan an actor once? Also Arnie? Face it, you can’t villify just the ones you don’t agree with!
