The Washington Redskins free agency machine hit full throttle Monday. Adam Archuleta signed a six-year, $30 million contract. Linebacker Andre Carter agreed to terms.

If I remember correctly, it seems as though it has been Snyder’s game plan to simply buy the available free agents, and try to get many individuals to operate within the system. Seems as though his past efforts have not gotten him very far, but if he has the dollars, and is willing to blow them, more power to him.

Seems like he is paying Randle-El a SHIT LOAD of bucks for essentially a #3 receiver and an above average punter returner.

As a Cal grad, I am glad to see that Andre is going to a better place…

All that big spending in 2000 got the Skins a #4 ranked defense, an improvement from 30th. Of course, they overpaid for Deion Sanders but the offense under that great head coach Norv “…Heath Shuler can be as good as Troy Aikman.” Turner sucked.

I don’t remember a lot of big spending under Schottenhiemer and Spurrier.

The “march superbowl” crap is as old as “librule media”.

    Give me a break.

Contgratulations on winning the March Superbowl, again.

It’s the ONLY one your Skins will be sniffing. :D

It does P- me off how Danny drives up market prices so high.
The deal for Adam Missalotta tackles is going to make it much harder for the Steelers to re-sign Chris Hope.

So Danny boy paid $10 million per career interception for Archuleta.

    That’s impressive.

  6. Waveflux says:

Granted that Archuleta was a bit overrated – too many missed tackles – he still played with pain for years. And he had to play for Larry Marmie, which is a different kind of pain. I was hoping he’d be able to stick around and play for Haslett, but it wasn’t meant to be.

  7. Archuletta’s just a backup in case Sean Taylor goes to the pokie.

  8. Superbelt says:

Just a backup? He signed the largest Safety contract EVER.
    He’s your starting SS.

And Taylor IS going to be sharing a cell with Caruth. You need to find a new FS
