Whats this ‘we’? When ‘we Republicans’ pick our candidate, the likelihood is that he or she will win. Since 1980, seven elections: five Republican winners, two Democratic (DLC) winners. So just hold on to your help. Uhh, we’ll ‘probably’ call you.

John “Keating 5″ McCain?
Bill “HCA Medicare Fraud” Frist? To laugh.
Rudy Guiliani? Let me tell you about the corruption in his administration sometime. Did I mention he is pro-choice, lived with a gay man (not that there is anything wrong with that) and married his first cousin (although that should pick him up votes from many red states)?
Tom Tancredo? Too radical right wing.
Sam Brownback? Too radical.
Mitt Romney? Flip flopper.

I still can’t figure out why McCain associates with Bush after that hit, the worst one I have ever seen in American politics, worse than the DLC on Howard Dean. Somebody must have gelded him or something, because I would give it everything I had to destroy Bush, were I McCain.

Then again, being that docile probably is a legitimate reason to mistake McCain for a Democrat. He’s useful, since he makes it look like there’s actual dissent in the Republican ranks.

I speculate the reason he suddenly flipped on Bush just before the
2004 race, and his subsequent boot-licking and knee-cap sucking, is
that Bush has promised to endorse him in 2008 if he’s a good boy on
swing-vote issues. He has been a good boy. He is not as moderate
as he would have you believe.

As for Frist, I hope he has another Terry Schiavo moment on the
subject of stem-cells and seals his Chernobyl-style crypt for
the next 25,000 years.
