Harold Ford Jr. is running for Frist’s seat in Tennessee, and is using the port issue in his campaign ads (click “campaign clips”) to see it.

    I’m in the (heavily Republican, 400 miles from Memphis) East Tennessee and saw that ad broadcast about 4 times last night.

    Representative Ford, in my most humble estimation, is one of the brightest politicians in D.C. today (provided Oliver allows us to pay him a compliment).

    Smart move by Harold Ford. Latest Rasmussen poll had him slipping against all three Republican opponents. We’ll see if this helps.
