Cult Gone To 11

It’s somewhat fitting that one of the craziest things I’ve ever seen in the blogosphere comes from Mark Noonan at Blogs for Bush (This is concerning the AP’s clarification of the administration-led parsing that “topping” isn’t exactly the same as “breaching” – of course, that argument is immaterial to whether the president sat through a briefing like a bump on a log, nodded his head like a jackass then flew off to a photo op – but it’s good of AP to note the distinction)

This is simply too beneficial for the Democrats for it to be coincidence – there could very well be collusion, and that would make what the AP did a de-facto campaign contribution to the Democratic Party. I believe that such a donation – which would have to be figured as a value of tens of millions of dollars – would be illegal under our campaign finance laws.

When I said the Republican mantra nowadays boils down to “Leader is infallible. Biased media plots with Leader s enemies to destroy Leader.” who knew I had hit the nail so squarely on its head?

It’s Charlie’s Party, Man!

(FYI, the Associated Press regularly carries water for the right)

    From the AP:

“The story instead was a bogus re-write of videos that the Administration had long ago provided to the MSM.”

    True or False?

  4. plane says:

OK…then how much is Fox News contributing everyday to the Republican Party?

  5. Brandon says:

    Your photoshop skills suck, Oliver.

  6. Lanternbearer says:

Do ‘em a job Ollie. Whack is whack. The bobble heads are about to be left way out on a skinny limb. This adminsitration is going to be laughed into history.

  7. Your photoshop skills suck, Oliver.

Yeah, but at least they’re…, y’know… sincere.

    Hey Brandon!

    Is that your best shot?

  9. [...] it to ODub to criticize a conservative for accusing the media of being biased against Bush by responding with an accusation that the media is biased for Bush.

We all can’t have an AA in PC Support, Brandi. Bet those job recruiters are beating a path to your door.

    Brandon,

1.) Take the Red Sox log down or I call my friend Larry. The result won’t be pretty.

2.) Frank…here’s a URL for you. Your homeland. Live long and prosper, loser.

I guess you didn’t check the link. It was a URL you might have enjoyed, if you weren’t a psychopath.

Who needs a sense of humor, when you’re a liberal?

Life, as you all know, is a deadly serious matter…

I guarantee you that you will go to Australia before I do, because I’m never going.

In fact, I might even tell you where I live. Then you’ll always exactly where I am, and where I’m staying.

Then you can whine and moan about it for the rest of your miserable stinking life.

  13. Quaker in a Basement says:

Check out Frank’s link. It is funny.

  14. AnalogKid says:

“This is concerning the AP s clarification of the administration-led parsing that topping isn t exactly the same as breaching – of course”

Oh really, Oliver? Then this report must just be more fo the AP ‘carrying water for the right’, right?

    http://www.drudgereport.com/flash3.htm

For those afraid to click the link, it’s an AP correction of their original story.

  15. Frank’s link is indeed hilarious, although I’ve seen them before, as I believe they originated in a FARK thread.

Well, not that this is a perfect example, but this statement sort of reminds me how righties like to trot out the “you just don’t have a sense of humor” herring in order to completely avoid dealing with a serious issue. Especially where they may be forced to acknowledge certain shortcomings in their ideology, or where they may have to actually perform some sort of introspection.

I see it all the time when they’re cornered.

  16. Dugger says:

Hy OW, your bathtub just overflowed a little.

Hey, OW your bathtub just blew up.

    Yep, no difference.

Dugger, Want You please buy a little white flower from me to support the Georgia Bush Cult Tribe?

  17. Frank_D says:

You’re right, curmudgeon, it’s not even a good example. JK’s knee jerk reaction is a much better example of liberal behavior.

  18. qkslvr_wolf says:

Frank, thanks for the link. I forwarded that to everyone in the office who watches fox. :-)

And those of us who aren’t that dumb. :-D

Seriously, though, thank you. Awesome link.

qkslvr: hey dugger, if you leave the water on, your bathtub will overflow.
dugger: I am prepared for that. I’m going to hooters casino to get some pictures with the girls. Ii’ll be back in four days.
qkslvr: But dugger, if you leave your water running, it could really cause damage…
dugger: my four year old can handle it. Toodles.

  19. Dugger says:

    quickie,

Are you equating Mayor Nagins to a four year old and me to God? I mean I think the Nagins comparison, then, is a little harsh. Six or seven at least.

Dugger “I’m unpleasant to look at, and my name’s agin me, but I ain’t as bad as I seem …”

  20. doug r says:

    From a Dutch study:

Titel Breaching of dikes due to wave overtopping
Abstract Analysis of coastal flooding events in The Netherlands and Germany shows that most dike breaching events were initiated by failure of the inner slopes of dikes. These failures occurred due to wave overtopping which resulted in slip failure of the inner slope, erosion at the inner slope and crest, or, most likely, a combination of both

I guess the point here is ANY dike or levee that gets overtopped will breech.

  21. Dugger says:

    doug r,

You can guess all you want that that is the point, but it seems rather, well, silly, to say that any dike that overflows, will breach. Would kinda depend on the dike/levee design and conditon, wouldn’t it?
