Looking at the patterns of your posting and examining the content, I can draw up a rudimentary psychological profile and conclude that you must lead a very lonely and awkward life.

Actually, these statements are so reminiscent of the nauseatingly juvenile statements JadeGold used to make, that I am inclined to believe that you might actually be JadeGold signed in under another handle.

While there might be some justification for believing that a person’s political beliefs might be associated with (even motivated by) a person’s personal characteristics, you need to know the other person’s characteristics to determine it.

It doesn’t work the other way — you can not determine a person’s personal attributes by way of their politics.

Of course, assuming that conservatism is a pathology is not only unscientific, it is also prejudiced, and negative stereotyping at its worst.

And I’m really concerned for conservatives, which is why I implore them to look deep within themselves for their true motivations and intentions. I hope that you can admit to yourself some of the ugly truths, whether you admit it to me or not.

And I admitted that on this issue the liberals seem to be the dogmatic ones, but I also hear many like Franken who only want a further review and his skepticism comes from a distrust of the administration. And I could point to a bunch of con blogs on every other issue if you want to see real dogmatic drooling.

Again, if you really think that you wouldn’t be saying all the things you read on kos about this issue if Clinton were president, and ignoring the good arguments on the other side, you’re deluding yourself. At least the liberals are making non-race/religion based arguments. Can you say the same about when the right talks about profiling or “fighting THEM over there so we don’t have to fight THEM over here”?

Lemme see: Since you don’t expect me to tell the truth, when I answer, you won’t believe me, so I guess I should lie, then you’ll think I’m lying and believe what I consider to be the truth. How’s that?

Did you ever hear of the “Cretan Dilemma”? A man from Crete says, “I am from Crete — and all Cretans are liars.”

But I digress. My first instinct was “We’re turning our ports over to the Arabs? That’s crazy!” But, upon further investigation, I have decided that we should do it, and I’m not really paying attention to all the hoopla, although it is mildly entertaining.

And, I think you should know that I have loathed Bill Clinton, since he began his primary campaigns for the Presidency. He is a liberal, which, of course, gets him no “points” with me. And, his personal attitude and bearing make me wince to think he was our President for eight years.

And, on these threads, it was liberals who were calling conservatives racists. As for the Republicans’ tactics of the mid – 90’s I hasten to remind you that this is 2006.

And if you don’t KNOW that liberals are more dogmatic, you certainly should. I, unlike you, can direct your attention to KOS and DU as evidence, as well as dozens of other blogs. Conservative blogs are all over the map on this issue.

I agree that there was a little disagreeing with it on the left simply because it was done by bush, but as the issue is more sussed out even a conservative has to admit that there are very good reasons for being more cautious (maybe not completely convincing but at least enough to give some people pause, and at least enough to show how ridiculous it is for conservatives to only cite “racism” as the reason why democrats are opposed [although you don't here them say that about the republicans who oppose it]). You know that you (and the media conservatives) would have been calling clinton a traitor. You don’t have to admit it to us, it makes you look inconsistent, but we know you’ll have to admit it to yourself at some point.

I’m not sure where you got the idea that liberals are more dogmatic, but I always thought that was something the conservatives were proud of. They’ve always cited it as a reason why they took over in the mid-90s, becasue they stayed on message and didn’t allow dissent in the ranks. If you’re not aware of that, you should be.
