Well, technically she wasn’t lying because Cheney didn’t have to order anyone to lie to the media, they took the initiative to be good soldiers and did it themselves. The administration never has to order someone to lie, it is understood when you take the job that you will lie to protect the reich Bush administration.

Mary Matalin does what she always does - spins. That’s her job. Both parties have these people to do just that.
