Olympics

I really enjoy the Olympics, and unlike some others I don’t mind that the NBC coverage is skewed in favor of U.S. athletes. But I beg of you, NBC, shut up about Bode Miller. You would think the guy is the second coming of Christ. I wish him well and I hope he gets a boatload of medals, but please for all this is holy stop the ceaseless Bode Miller hype.

This is the least cared about Olympics that I can remember. Bode is one of the few stories in it — for better or for worse.
What else is there? WILL MICHELLE KWAN SKATE?!
It’s not as desperately US-skewed as the Athens coverage — so far — but it is skewed in favor of ridiculously contrived narratives and back-stories that would normally be crappy ‘original movies’ on ABC Family.
Winter Olympics about to start Cheeto, in Italy. Lots of different sports that involve sliding.
I think some anti-US feeling has slipped in for upcoming games. Baseball and Softball has been taken out. What with the USA being the biggest players of these sports in the World, it usually means a decent chance of a medal. I’m surprise they didn’t try and knock basketball out as well.
