OW, Correct if I’m wrong. Nobody puts a gun to your head and makes you buy a car and then makes you fill it with gas. Thats not happening down here in Georgia. Likewise, it was my understanding that the slaves weren’t slaves – voluntarily. They were forced into bondage. So no offense, but it was a crummy analogy.

Not that I didn’t already know that- but there was a time when you actually used your mind and thought about what you said with a little more introspection. Now it’s say whatever you can to be “MR.DEMOCRAT.” Spit out whatever BS that your boss and the DNC press releases tell you to. It’s pathetic.

Rather that take the opportunity to say that perhaps the House of Representatives and plantation rhetoric may just also be a bit over the top, you use Hillary’s own spin on her stupid pandering statement and the same bullshit that every other SFB lefty says about it and pass that off as a legitimate statement.

When Republicans start bringing in Democrats in shackles, making them pick cotton in the fields 19 hours a day, beating them mercilessly, and cutting off their per diem and forcing them to eat pig intestines, neckbones, and spoiled leftovers, then I’ll give the plantation imagery a second look.

There’s no talking points, there are facts. The GOP runs the House like masters of the land, allowing no dissent or even the introduction of dissent. Minority views are not allowed to be expressed, the rules are manipulated in favor of the masters, etc.

Dugger: are we or aren’t we slaves to oil? Before we answer, wave to the 150,000 Americans in Iraq. I also think its hilarious you think that Some Guy with a Website (me) and a candidate for the U.S. Senate are supposed to be on the same page rhetorically.

Oliver, I agree with you that Steele’s remarks were over the top. Tthat kind of talk is pretty stupid and will probably lose him a few votes.

But I’d love for you to elaborate on this- “Sen. Clinton was accurately describing the atmosphere of the House of Representatives”

Really? How so? Give us some examples of how the way the House of Representatives is run today compares to the type of plantation that Senator Clinton must have been referring to.

I can’t imagine she was talking about any kind of plantation other than the type where our ancestors were held in bondage, forced labor, and other gross indignities. The kind of place my great-grandfather escaped from near the end of the Civil War.

C’mon Oliver. Enlighten me. How exactly do they compare. What are the Democratic talking points on that?
