I missed the part where Coulter, Linbaugh, and Hannity are Republican officials. And are you pretending once again that Julian Bond is not a public day-in day-out voice of the left, taking his talking points directly from HQ?

It’s days like this I keep wishing for a “Brewster’s Millions” amendment, where we can always, no matter what the office is and who is running, vote “None of the Above.” If that’s the selection that gets the most votes, there’s a mechanism where there’s a new election with new candidates. Without a proportional representation system, something even more desirable, this is the only way to keep a two-party system from forcing us to vote for the lesser of two evils, the corrupt Republican and the obsequious Democrat.

Negative ads work. The public polls show they don’t like it, but it seems
to influence them nevertheless. The republicans understand this better
than anyone. Relentless attack, not moderate tones of bipartisanship
swings the vote. As long as the attack is not waffled or mitigated;
as long as it is consistent and persistent, it pays off. Ask Rove.
