It Was A Bad Time

Heath Shuler, former Redskins QB disaster is running for congress (as a Democrat) in North Carolina. Some fans think the man must be stopped.

ALSO: Worst football coach ever Norv Turner gets yet another stay of execution by becoming an assistant with the 49ers. Proof positive that no matter how crappy you are, once you’re in the NFL club, you’re in for life.

If you wanna say he’s the worst HEAD coach ever, that’s still a reach but you could make an argument.

But to say he’s the worst coach ever, regardless of whether you’re talking head or assitant, is just plain silly.

    Even after Spurrier?

  3. I admit there’s a bit of hyperbole there. I should say worst Redskins coach ever. Certainly most incompetent.

  4. Yeah, he edges out Spurrier because Spurrier’s incompetence was in the blink of an eye. Turner was 6 years of mediocrity.

That stopshuler site was hilarious. Heath Shuler is an idiot. What the heck is his platform and why is he the one to run against corrupt Charles Taylor. I mean, Taylor is terrible, one of the most corrupt in the whole House, and the Dems can’t find anyone better than Heath Shuler to run?

  6. Jadegold says:

Well, the StopShuler seems to think he’s scored some kind of political point by pointing out that Shuler wasn’t a good NFL player.

    Ahem.

How many college athletes get the chance to play in the NFL? It’s a pretty small number. And the average NFL career is 4.4 years.

As a 49ers fan I’ve wondered how things could get worse. Looks like I just found out.

Politics in North Carolina is like a spectator sport. We don’t actually pick people who will do well, we just like to stare dumbfounded at what comes out of their mouths.

Anytime I see a head coach position open I always hope that Art Shell would be considered and hired….each time that hope is crushed. Tired of seeing Jimmy Johnson’s old loser coordinators getting new jobs. At least Art Shell had a winning record. Shell has a better record than alot of the new coach hires of the last few years.
