THE BUCS STOP HERE
Tweet
What an ugly game. Especially by the offense.
But all that matters is the damn scoreboard.
HAIL SKINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Needless to say, I blew out my voice.
Now, okay, if Sean Taylor spit in the other guys face he should be ejected (I still didn’t see it) — but shouldn’t there also be a penalty for the guy punching him in the face? Not to mention a clear face mask grab I saw late in the third quarter? There was some insane penalties in this game, and the Bucs are a dirty team.
Bring on the Seahawks.
I think some of the credit for this win should go to Coach Janky Spanky.

Least offensive yards by a winning team in the postseason.
LaVar is happy, that is all that matters.
No, if someone spits in your face and you smack him, well, you are justified. If Taylor spit in his face he should be suspended at least one game.
There’s no “justified” rule in the NFL. If what they say Taylor did is true, then he deserves all the punishment he gets – but you don’t get free reign to pop people in the game.
Guess what?
It didn’t matter.
You should be more pissed at Taylor for pulling a typical University of Miami move.
If it’s true he did it, I am – but I don’t see any evidence yet. Are the Cowboys enjoying a nice Saturday afternoon in January at home?
a) The Seahawks weren’t exactly triumphant the last go-round
b) That the Redskins are even playing this far into January is reward enough for me…
Oliver -
Sorry about Next weeks game- but the skins will be in trouble with the Hawks…
They played the Seahawks AT home and were lucky to win it. However, I am confident the ‘skins can pull it off.
I didn’t see any spit fly, but I did see his head bobble back in the replay.
Brandon, you can think Jimmy Johnson for bringing Miama trash into this league, no matter how good they are
Just to add, I fully agree that the other guy ought to have been disciplined as well. Either both should have been ejected or neither.
If it s true he did it, I am – but I don t see any evidence yet.
No evidence, I guess, and I was yelling just as hard as any other Skins fan when I saw the thing on instant replay.
But, I mean, the ref was right there when it happened. I don’t see how he could have been mistaken, and given that he made some other big calls on the Skins’ behalf, he doesn’t seem to have had any kind of prejudice against them. So I think I have to accept that Taylor probably did spit on him.
I don t see how he could have been mistaken
Well he is human, after all. And I don’t think you really mean that he made calls on the Redskins behalf, do you? Of course you don’t.
Oliver – Who is making the claim that he did not spit? Is there a controversy here?
Well Taylor says he didn’t, Gregg Williams believes him – and I haven’t seen it on the film.
Sorry – I did not realize Taylor was denying that he did it. And Gregg Williams should believe him. I don’t think Taylor should offer an apology for something the ref just got wrong. I guess it happens. You got to credit Pittman for the quick thinking on “the best offense is a good defense” job of acting and as a result taking money from Taylor’s pocket.
With Taylor’s history, I do not think he is entitled to the benefit of the doubt.
Regardless, it was a good win for the Skins, in spite of their horrific offensive performance, or lack thereof.
While the video doesn’t conclusively show Taylor spit at Pittman, it does show him jerk his head back a bit before Pittman slaps his helmet. Not to mention, Mike Carey was rushing in to break up the fight and was but a few feet away when the transgression allegedly occurred.
None of us were as close as Carey was. He’s the ref.
If he says that Taylor spat at Pittman, then for all intents and purposes, Taylor spat at Pittman.
“Brandon, you can think Jimmy Johnson for bringing Miama trash into this league, no matter how good they are”
I’m not debating that point at all, Ian. As good as any of these U of M players are on the field, when they do something bad on or off the field (see Michael Irvin), their U of M reputation precedes them.
