Delay is the victim of a vicious, unprincipled partisan Democratic prosecutor. I think the Republicans should not be backing away. By doing so they reward Democratic partisan thuggery of the worst kind. Liberals hate all things Republican and anyone who disagrees with them. Any Republican who thinks Democrats or Big Media will now ‘like’ them because of this farce is sadly mistaken.

I hope that DeLay can still prevail and hold onto his leadership — he’s a great American. Obviously his temporary replacement from Missouri is not measuring up. Not many men can walk in DeLay’s tassle loafers.
