Frank, I didnt say anyhting about the importance of your reasons either. But WMD didnt even get a mention, regardless of where on your heirarchy of rationales it fell.

We dont have to depserately cling to the notion that this war has ruined Bush. His poll ratings have been in the toilet for months. Hes up 2 points in a Fox News poll though! 42% yipeeee! (though low ratings might be aided by the Mieirs (sp?) nomination, the Katrina response, Plamegate, ouch hold on Im getting carpel tunnel from typing all the reasons book the Bush presidency is a failed one).

The conservatives penchance for ‘unity’ as well as the closed- loop thought process that usually attends your tribe, creates a form of rigor mortis in your ‘black and white’ cells. (normally I would say ‘grey’ cells, but shades of grey seem to confound you folks.) Such inflexibility is like a kind of coral which is a formidible obstacle to ships of trade and recreation. But that sort of strength is a weakness when it provides no give-and-take in the exchange of ideas.

It would be incorrect to say all conservatives lack ‘critical thinking’. Some conservatives manage a delicate balancing act between reality and fantasy and thus maintain some cerebral excellence. It has it’s drawbacks for these few. They must jump from lily pad to lily pad quickly, lest the sheer weight drop them in the drink. Alas, this minority is the exception which proves the rule, which I fear to say, leaves you out zorro.

The exponential inbreeding amongst non-progressives may increase the repetitive talking points, but they are no substitute for critical thinking.

A response implies that you actually respond to comments made by someone else. Getting up on your soapbox to rail about something that is irrelevant to the comments made by someone that you think you are addressing is not a response.

Oh, and factcheck, before you start chicken hawking me….I am a US Navy veteran who spent 9-11 and the following two years forward deployed in support of our work in both Afghanistan and Iraq…I HAVE served…and you sir, what branch of our armed services were doing your civic duty with?

I didn’t say anything about the “importance” or “priority” of reasons, nor do I plan to. The “Bush lied! Men died!” mantra means nothing to me. I’m aware of a statement made by the Secretary of State only a few days ago that we intend to make of Iraq an ally. Period
The left, clinging desperately to the idea that Bush would somehow be ruined by this war, realizes now that success is at hand. This being the case, there are only two options: 1)Minimize the success. Once “Johnny comes marching home,” and Irag is free, that won’t work; or 2) Keep banging the “Bush lied” drum. The problem with that is, we all know how short the American attention span is.
So, tough luck.
p.s. There are no WMD’s in Iraq, right? So, like the magic rock that keeps elephants away, we’ve accomplished that, too.
