In regards to this thread, you are trying to claim that this War on Christams thing is real. It is not. It is manufactured. And likewise, the ‘outrage’ expressed here and in a lot of other forums is mocking and derisive. The entire thing is a charade.

This is what amuses me about this whole thing. these so-called Christians are making in an issue over a PAGAN holiday that has NOTHING to do with Jesus whatsoever.

Perhaps the modern spirit of Christmas is meant to convey good will and brotherhood, but attacking people who don’t say ‘Merry Christmas’ and pretending it has some Christian basis erases that notion altogether.

On topic, I wonder what Jesus would say about all this? I doubt he’d be so up in arms about the loss of the word if the sentiment of brotherhood and good cheer were still there, because

(a) He wasn’t so insecure about his place in the world that he would need to have it acknowledged as his birthday (and his alone), and
