Hillary’s Folly

As Ezra notes here, Sen. Clinton is increasingly pushing bizarre legislation that is ill-fitting of a true Democrat.

So, she is not a pure ‘true’ Democrat, eh? Ran the old Democratic purity test and Frau Hillary has a little conservative mongrel in her, does she? Ach, du lieber!!!

    Dugger, Also Impure

  2. JD says:

Seems to be yet another step in attempting to triangulate her position and take a public middle of the road position.

Well, you know, we gotta do something.

Why, flag burning has become such an epidemic that we’re starting to run short of decent specimens of the old starsanstripes.

And what with all the civil unrest being created all across the country by flag burners, it’s about time somebody in the Senate stepped up to the plate on this issue.

  4. randy says:

Jeez, a little late to this news don’t you think? Republicans have been warning against Hillary’s rush to the political center ever since she was elected to the Senate.

“A little immigration reform here, a little religion in the public square there, a little gentle talk about common ground on abortion — and what have you got? The birth of a new, moderate Hillary Clinton, announces the press.”

  6. Frank_D says:

If Hillary keeps triangulatin’, the Republicans will have to put the Great Black Hope in the ring

  7. sooperedd says:

So what if I burn a flag with 49 stars on it, or one with 12 stripes instead of 13?

Will that be considered burning the “American Flag”?

How do they intend to enforce this?

    Stupid politicians.

  8. tiponeill says:

This must mean that it is “Mission accomplished” in her War Against Videogames.
Hillary certainly understands the important threats to America – you have to give her that.
And, of course, an urge to pander that is Liebermanesque.

  9. Wilbur says:

Hey, if Bush can get himself (s)elected by pretending to be a more compassionsate conservative, why can’t one of our people pretend to be a more small-minded liberal?
