Another Wimpy Con

MRC’s Brent Bozell apparently refused to go on Scarborough Country with one of those pesky folks who would call him on his lies – sort of what Bozell does.

Yawn. Who cares about Brent Bozell when Howard Dean, Chaiman of the DNC, refused to appear on Meet the Press opposite Ken Mehlman, just as his predecessor had traditionally appeared with his Republican counterpart.
Isn’t that kind of, you know, wimpy?
Oh, I get it. Being too wimpy to defend your party’s positions against the opposition–you know, the ones you actually have to beat to get into office–is now “refusing to give legitimacy to liars.”
Okay, then. Why don’t the Democrats try refusing to participate in the 2008 Presidential debate?. Let’s see how far that gets you.
Why should Gov. Dean give legitimacy to a liar like Mehlman? Gov. Dean appeared on MTP, and did quite well. Now, back to the point of Bozell being too chickensh** to show up…
Funny, no one claimed that while Terry McAuliffe was Chair. What changed?
A party chairman is nothing like an elected official. Gov. Dean has no need to go on tv and provide “balance” to Mehlman’s lies.
McAuliffe was a nice guy who presided over a DNC that lost election after election. Perhaps doing things the same old way ain’t any good. At a certain point, especially the week when Dean was scheduled on with Mehlman, you let the bastards roast in their own stew.
