Michael Steele: Professional Victim, Maryland Basher

Michael Steele, who by the way is a Bush lackey and out of touch with mainstream Maryland values, appeared on Hannity and the Other Guy’s show. First he allowed Hannity to repeat the myth that he was “pelted” with Oreo cookies (”They were thick in the air like locusts” says the GOP) and said “Yup!” that he had indeed been pelted, then he went on to whine like a baby about how poorly he’s been treated, never mind that he’s part of a movement that has systematically performed actual acts of discrimination on black people. Steele’s an enabler, and he knows it.

Then, amazingly, he went on to trash the very state he’s running for office in! He claimed that the alleged racial attacks are happening because Maryland is 2-1 Democratic registration and that the state “has a left of center bent”. And then he went on to use the phrase “Democrat Party” to describe the Democratic Party in Maryland — the party most Marylanders, black and white, are a member of. Amazing.

Michael Steele trashed Maryland on national television. We’ll remember in November.

Just more dirty tricks pulled off by the right. i would not be surprised if the guy in California who is suing to get ‘in God we trust’ taken off our money is being supported by the Republican party.

  2. zorro says:

Don’t worry Southpay, he’s aaaalll yours.

  3. ian says:

Odub, I am still waiting for you to condemn the Oreo attacks. I’m not saying that Steele’s word is gold, but if he is saying it in a race like this I would doubt that he is lying.

  4. What Oreo attacks? The ones he made up? You doubt he’s lying? You’ve got a lot to learn about Republicans, kid.

  5. sgb says:

    Ian,

I am sure Odub has received his fare share of “oreo attacks” in his lifetime. The difference is that he is not crying to the creamy white middle like a little biatch!

  6. Tuco Ramirez the Rat says:

Oliver likes the Oreo story because it takes the heat off of Democrats who maliciously accuse Steele of not being sufficiently black for them.

In the meantime, the head of the NAACP in Orange County, Florida, has just switched his party affiliation from Democrat to Republican.

Who will be the first to call him an “Uncle Tom?” Tick, tick, tick….

  7. ian says:

    Re: Tuco

I am still waiting for Oliver to condemn the Oreo attacks — if they did or did not happen. I am also still waiting for Oliver to condemn the Uncle Tom remarks.

    Re: Oliver

“I did not have sexual relations with that woman”.

  9. I’m supposed to condemn something that never happened? I demand you condemn the lollypop guild, then.

  10. ian says:

Haha .. it’s funny how you libs claim to be the “reality based” party but don’t own up to things that have actually happened. Since you refuse to admit this happened .. I will word this hypothetically ..

IF Steele was pelted with Oreo cookies, would you be okay with it?

  11. Quaker in a Basement says:

IF Steele was pelted with Oreo cookies, would you be okay with it?

IF George Bush stangled a puppy on live TV, would you be okay with it? Stop ducking the question!

  12. but don t own up to things that have actually happened
Because it didn’t. Only in the fevered, victim-filled dreams of Michael Steele.

IF Steele was pelted with Oreo cookies, would you be okay with it?
    No, I wouldn’t. But that’s moot – because it didn’t happen.

  13. Quaker in a Basement says:

Campaign spokesman Leonardo Alcivar said they don’t currently believe the incident was anything other than a break-in for the purposes of theft.

He said it appears they lost a few laptop computers, but no sensitive data was compromised. Alcivar said the office has a series of both digital security measures and redundancies in place.

Nevertheless, GOP activists continue to wonder why Democratic lawmakers refuse to distance themselves from the theft.

    Kidding. Haw.

  14. randy says:

Where was Chuckie Schumer Tuesday night?

“A spokesman for Michael Steele’s campaign said the new campaign headquarters in Annapolis was broken into and computers were stolen sometime Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.”

Quaker – What question was asking? If anyone here is dodging, it’s Oliver.

President Bush isn’t the subject here .. we are talking about a controversial real subject, not something made up.

  16. Quaker in a Basement says:

And what’s with that photo? Are they re-enacting scenes from Benson?

  17. Quaker in a Basement says:

we are talking about a controversial real subject, not something made up.

Try to keep up. The “oreo attack” was….yes…MADE UP! You keep asking Oliver to tell whether he would approve of it, *IF* it happened.

    It didn’t.

Now why won’t you condemn the President strangling a puppy?
