What a bunch of hooey.

The quote Tuco cites is from the latest installment from the Washington Times. Once again, the reporter telling these breathless tales is the same one who reported over and over that Steele was "pelted" bla, bla, but whose boss now says he wasn't even at the event.

In this latest article, the reporter, S.A. Miller, tells us:

On the program, Mr. Dean avoided questions about racial attacks on Mr. Steele, a candidate for next year's Senate race in Maryland, who has been smeared as an "Uncle Tom" and an "Oreo" -- slurs that some Democratic lawmakers contend are fair comment because Mr. Steele is a conservative black Republican.

My. That really is terrible behavior. One would think Mr. Miller would be quick to name names. Just which Democratic lawmaker is calling Mr. Steele these ugly names?

Miller forgets to say.

Anybody else wonder why?

Which Maryland Democrat, member of Congress, and former Black Caucus chairman said this?

My plan is to meet with them and ask them to stop this [making racial comments about Michael Steele] at once, said U.S. Rep. Elijah E. Cummings, Baltimore Democrat and former Black Caucus chairman.

Which African-American Democratic Representative admonished Baltimore lawmakers who were making racial comments about Michael Steele, even calling him

a likable guy.

Read this quickly, before Oliver deletes it.
