Iraq Is A Breeding Ground For Terrorism

Sounds like what Afghanistan used to be

Three “non-Jordanian” suicide bombers belonging to al-Qaida in Iraq carried out Amman’s triple hotel attacks that killed at least 57 people, Jordan’s deputy premier said Saturday.

It is important to note support, implicit or explicit by those in places like Amman from those who be suspicious of western motives will certainly be eroded by the ‘freedom and democracy’ advocates if they continue to enable ‘black site’s’ .

Such persons may feel torture is a necessary evil to avoid attacks in the future and justify their existence by comparing the extreme brutality of the terrorists, to the lesser evil of torture by democratic governments. They will be wondering about what they don’t know about, as opposed to what leaks out to the media and their rumor mills.

It is, in the end, counter productive to the war on terror.. To add further grist and accuse those who speak out about the war as failing to support the troops, is merely a tactic and not a long-term strategy for winning the war. Some have given up on the war for ‘hearts and minds’ as a sign of weakness that the minority core of Jihadists will exploit to engender more support from the muslim street. The Islamists badly calculated in Jordan and are backpeddling because they were clearly stung by the demonstrations. If you want to disable those street condemnations of the terrorists, continue to make excuses for the reasons we need to ’suspend’ human rights for certain individuals.
