Here we go…
7.15 VA: 1 precinct reporting 60.30% Kilgore 37.94% Kaine… of course, this is only the votes of 398 people. 398 very Republican people.

7.34 VA : 130 precincts 49.58 Kilgore 48.77 Kaine | Hotline: “Kaine’s campaign says they’re outperforming Warner in the outer DC suburbs. Warner ran behind, and now the Kaine campaign is projecting they’ve pulled even.”
7.45 VA: 389 precincts 55.65 Kilgore 42.82 Kaine
7.48 VA: 500 precincts 55.17 Kilgore 43.12 Kaine – %20 of precints reporting

7.58 VA: 750 precincts 45.65 Kilgore 52.19 Kaine – first time Kaine has led…
8.02 NJ: Dems go to court to stop GOP vote suppresion tactics. Same old b.s. from the right.
8.04 VA: 886 precincts 45.29 Kilgore 52.59 Kaine – 36% of precincts reporting
8.10 VA: 957 precincts 45.74 Kilgore 52.14 Kaine – holding… holding… “Not Larry Sabato” calls it for Kaine – too soon?
Note: Both Drudge and Raw Story are calling the race wrong, because the Virginia election result page puts the leader on top and it flipped from Kilgore to Kaine about 30 minutes ago. I almost made the same mistake.

8.28 NJ: Forrester 51 Corzine 47 with 6% in
VA: 1348 precincts 46.57 Kilgore 51.18 Kaine
8.40 Having trouble getting fresh numbers, but this quote from Free Republic sums up the current trend: “Kilgore pissed it away”
8.41 1540 precincts 46.58 Kilgore 51.15 Kaine – 63.48% of precincts reporting. So far this is tracking with the opinion polls.

9.06 NJ: Corzine 52 Forrester 44 with 12% in
9.10 VA: GOP Rep. Tom Davis: “It’s a pretty big hole for Jerry to make up.”
9.10 Associated Press: “Democrat Kaine Wins Va. Governor Race”
Thanks for the updates, O-Dubs. Go Kaine! You Kaine Do It!
(sorry for lameness.)
It wouldn’t be Election Day if the Democrats weren’t in court.
Oliver, with all due respect….the mandate died the day the dumbest President in the history of our great nation won less popular votes than his challenger, Al Gore.
JK
As predicted. And to think riding Bush’s coatails used to work. Or at least his shameless campaign tactics used to work. (see John McCain, Max Cleeland) Corzine was just re-elected. I don’t smell blood in the water but…
It wouldn t be Election Day if the Democrats weren t in court … fighting to stop Republican dirty tricks. (You missed a bit there, Hed)
You linked to Drudge? Developing …
Of course the GOP talking points are that these are just ‘local’ elections and do not reflect any national trends. I already heard that one on the Comcast news channel. Other than the presidency, how many non-’local’ elections are there?
Ah yes, Fram, good ol’ New Jersey. Never any dirty tricks from Democrats there, just ask Sen. Lautenberg how he came to be on the ticket back in 2002. Unfortunately the Dem’s dirty tricks came at the expense of today’s loser, Forrester.
Of course, if the Dems say there are dirty tricks, then I guess it must be so.
