The Right’s Power
Tweet
It’s clear now that the “new media” of the right has triumphed over the old. The campaign led by Michelle Malkin, Media Research Center and others against Al Franken has obviously been successful.
Poor Franken is left broken and battered, his book reduced to… number one on the New York Times bestseller list.
We bow toward’s the right’s superior firepower.

I know. Franken is unstoppable. His picture graces the cover of Amazon’s #4 book as well. (The Truth, however, is stuck at #17.)

And only days ago:
Nothing more clearly demonstrates the right’s utter lack of ability than the complete void of accomplishment over the past five years; even with total control of all three branches of government, as well as direct influence over the corporate media establishment.
- No Bin Laden.
- Spent surplus, created historic debt.
- Debacle in Iraq. 2000+ dead soldiers, billions in taxes spent.
- Failed attempt to destroy Social Security.
- Tax cuts for the wealthy, additional burdening of the middle class.
- Gutting of social programs for the less fortunate.
- Rampant cronyism in Gov’t.
- Lack of planning and rescue efforts for Katrina.
- Oversaw complete destruction of major American city (N.O.)
- Lowest approval ratings for presidency since Nixon.
- Torture as U.S. policy.
- Justification of “Pre-emptive warfare” as foreign policy.
- No-bid contracts.
- Record profits for oil industry, with record gas prices.
- Numerous GOP leaders under investigation, indicted and/or convicted.
- Degradation of American influence around the globe.
- And on, and on, an on.
If they’ve been successful at anything, it’s at demonstrating the inherent failure of Conservatism in a modern western society. I suspect people like Franken are headed for a boom period, whilst Ann Coulter and the like, will be (once again) relegated to the outer fringes of society, where she and her venomous cohorts belong.
Curmudgeon,
What you have clearly demostrated is that you are delusional. Your propaganda/talking point post doesn’t give me the impression that you even believe this horsesh*t yourself. You aren’t some kind of right wing plant here to make the lefty propeller-heads look stupid are you? Just checking.
Curmudgeon;
It’s even worse than that. Larry, Moe and Curley Joe were sent in to fix the hapless householders plumbing. Not only did they not accomplish anything, but totally rat-fucked everything so badly that it may be past repairing.
The have a genius similar to the Stooges ability to sell themselves as plumbers, beyond that had absolutely no idea what to do. They quickly went from Stooge, to Apple Dumpling Gang, ending as the Gang that couldn’t shoot straight.,
Cleo:
Wow, I have never heard the Clinton White house described with such clarity. I guess a little historical perspective helps.
