Same Old Republicans
Tweet
The key to an election win for John McCain would be the extraordinary support he gets from Democrats and Independents, which make up for the general lack of enthusiasm expressed for him in Republican circles. So I hope when election time comes around, folks remember that McCain was courting favor with the religious taliban in the guise of Jerry Falwell. Falwell, you’ll recall, is the man who said that America deserved 9/11 because of homosexuality and the ACLU. And the so-called “moderate”, John McCain, is breaking bread with him.

McCain is a whore. He is a whimpering, childish whore. He tried to be independent of the crackpot wing of the Republican party and they (ROve and CO) attacked him as a traitor, rapist, miscedgenator, whatever, and he folded up and came back into the flock without a word.
Although I would like to see someone with his credentials as a viable GOP candidate he has caved in to the far right, hecause he wants to be president soooo badly.
His credibility is dropping among moderates, independents and Democrats who had admired him. And even though he has received the most vicious and damaging attacks from his own party, he hangs his head and begs for them to take him back.
Get a spine, John. And then go to hell and take Hilary with you.
I don’t get it. The amn is an ex POW and you guys are questioning his patriotism. When will this ugliness end.

Anybody’s patriotism can be questioned these days, Dugger. Just ask Max Cleland.
That said, OW’s not disparaging McCain’s patriotism, just his credibility.
Max Cleland’s patriotism was never questioned. What he wanted and all”don’t question my patriotism: liberals want is immunity from decisions and actions which appear stupid from a foreign policy and/or WOT context. Cleland’s fellow Democratic senator voted with the mainstream. Cleland chose to go with Daschle. Dumb and fair campaign fodder (in Georgia).
