All this movement on CNN has the ill-fated feeling of reshuffling the chairs on the Titanic. CNN produces good journalism, on occasion, but is too light and fluffy like a morning show for the times we live in. Their asset is in being the source for news, perhaps they would like to break some on occasion – beyond Anderson Cooper dancing in a hurricane or Wolf Blitzer being wowed by satellite technology that was state of the art 10 years ago on the very same CNN. MSNBC’s problem is that they’re GOP-lite. If were a Republican, I wouldn’t watch MSNBC when I can get the real Republican propaganda on Fox. If MSNBC had a couple brain cells to rub against those megabillions backing up the network, they would add a good progressive host or two to complement Olbermann’s newscast.
Fox is kicking their rears largely because CNN & MSNBC have no idea what the hell they’re doing.
I don’t watch television news anymore, and quite frankly, I cannot understand why anybody would want to.
There’s so much better information online.
Because pro wrestling is fake?
Quaker, you need to realize that pro wrestling is mindless fun, but news and journalism is not. I have to wonder, if people like network news because it is like wrestling. You’ve got your factions, smear campains, networks, and a torid of lies and deceptions which to build upon. Every network has to have a personality, because thier skill doesn’t sell shit. I mean TV is just filled with daytime soap opera, nighttime soap operas, “reality” soap opera, music tv soap opera etc…
I think news organizations have keyed in on the lazy, “I love my cat” sweatshirt wearing, fart joke side of our brains.
Congratdulations news networks, I think I will go buy the farm!:)
My point exactly, good fellow.
Well, if pro wrestling is fake, I’m going to find a real sport to enjoy – like Roller Derby.
