Section 21

Legislators, mount up.
It’s time to get to the bottom of this. No more stonewalling. No more coverups for corrupt Republicans. We’re aware of some of the deceptions — but how far did the Bush administration go in pushing America into this useless conflict in Iraq?

>> Professional smear artist Michelle Malkin calls it a temper tantrum and tries to give Democrats “advice”. Again, I say, shut the eff up.
>> Glenn Reynolds compares dead soldiers in Iraq to Bill Clinton’s marital infidelity. Does the RNC pay in cash or checks, Glenn?
>> Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid’s Stock Moves Strongly Up
>> According to the increasingly incoherent Jeff Goldstein, Democrats are destroying America by insisting that the Senate… do it’s job. The bastards!
>> Correct me if I’m wrong (I don’t speak “con”), but is Kate O’Beirne comparing the GOP majority to the mafia? I think it’s an accurate comparison, what with the indictments and all, but it’s just odd coming from those quarters.
MORE: Bill Frist is the ultimate loser in this, because yet again Harry Reid shows that – at least when it comes to the parliamentarian rules of the senate – he runs circles around the cold hearted cat killer. Frist claims that this demonstrated that the Democrats don’t have any respect for him.
Yup.
>> Already, the American people are benefitting from Democratic leadership.
A phase-by-phase investigation will resume, Reid announced after the secret session. It will be the second stage of a probe that Democrats have been pressing for for a year.
>> Frist sure had a meltdown today

I think the gnawing realization among conservatives that Michael Moore — MICHAEL MOORE — was more right about Iraq than they were is driving them completely insane.
November 1st, 2005…Democrats grow a pair!
Jeffy is “increasingly incoherent?”
Jeffy passed incoherence years ago.
As for InstaCracker, it bears repeating that libertarians are nothing more than GOPers who don’t want to have to defend James Dobson and Jerry Falwell.
Thanks for the link, Oliver.
“As for InstaCracker, it bears repeating that libertarians are nothing more than GOPers who don t want to have to defend James Dobson and Jerry Falwell.”
I thought a libertarian was a Republican that smoked weed?
In the last two days Peter Daou, donklephant, AOL News and Oliver Willis have identified me as John Cole. You can sort of understand that when a one-guy blog adds a second blogger, so no tongue-lashing for today. Actually, considering my total n00bness to blogging I probably come out the better for that error.
About my perspective, I am definitely liberal but I make a strong effort to present my posts from a neutral perspective so I don’t blame others for occasionally mistaking me for a conservative. Balloon Juice is a Republican blog after all, or at least it was until I showed up.
Christ, Glenn Reynolds is sickening. Honestly, sometimes his special brand of faux-centrism Republican apologism is worse than the out and out racism of those Little Green Footballs folks.
Sorry, Tim F (the poster) at Balloon Juice is a Democrat, he’s not John Cole and in this case, the commenters have pointed out that Goldyflocks is a despicable bastard that likes to lick spittle off of Karl Roves buttocks. Tim only pointed towards Jeffy’s post as a classic republican distractor/apologist.
Jay, Howard Dean and Al Gore were more right about what the Iraq War would bring than George W. Bush and Dick Cheney. Period.
I’ll ask again, JadeGold. Why do you call him “InstaCracker?”

That’s the funniest thing I’ve seen on the Internet today.
Thanks for the big laugh.
“I thought a libertarian was a Republican that smoked weed?”
That’s one way of looking at it. Another one is :”a libertarian is someone who believes in the right of consenting adults to do anything they please, except work together for social change.”
Section 21?
I thought it’s more like Area 51.
We could get more information from that super secret test site than we do from this administration or the republican controlled congress.
Why do you call him InstaCracker?
Several years back in response to some DC financial woe, InstaCracker opined that the District of Columbia would be better suited as a colony as it was undeserving of self-governance.
This is kind of amazing coming from a supposed law professor. Of course, InstaCracker made no such pronouncement when affluent–and very white–cities and counties made horrendous financial decisions. Orange County?
InstaCracker has always had a fondness for racism that’s just beneath a thin veneer.
Does that picture show Reid talking about “growing a pair?”
Let the rabid dogs loose.
YEAAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!!
Senate Democrats will be under a lot of pressure as a result of this move.
Send Reid and Durban a quick email to show support. They will need it.
Being a libertarian is sort of like being a goth for people who aren’t in high school. Just a new look, a new clique, and an attitude. No substance to it at all.
>>That s the funniest thing I ve seen on the Internet today. Thanks for the big laugh.
Hey, Jay? I’m curious. 2,000 deaths later, what is there to laugh about.
I mean..you’ve never been an intellectual giant, Caruso, as long as I’ve known you….but please enligten us.
JK
Let the rabid dogs loose.
YEAAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!!
Oh come now, rightisright, you shouldn’t speak of Senator Frist as a “rabid dog”.
Oh, act your (nominal) age
The story du jour seems to be Senate Minority leader Harry Reid s guerrilla theater from yesterday:
WASHINGTON (AP) – Unable to win their way with votes, outnumbered Democrats used a rarely invoked Senate rule to force a secret session as a way…
I voted Libertarian in every presidential election from 1976 to 1992. When Clinton proved himself as a social liberal-fical conservative I voted Democratic for the first time in 1996 and have done so since. I have found Dems to offer more sanity in fiscal matters than the Republicans, while being in favor of more personal rights than the party of Scalia, Cheney, Bush, DeLay, ad nauseum.
As for Instadunce, his site reads like he’s a paid GOP shill than a true Libertarian.
PrivatePyle: Shhh! You’re giving away the store!
Ohh…nice move Oliver. Remove those inconvenient comments…You can take them down all day long, but you know and I know that Dems were crowing long and loud about Iraq’s WMD’s…and now it’s Bush who lied…right, whatever…you have once again proven your true colors…
Hack.
