If the right-wingers aren’t “whistling past the graveyard” on indictment, they are poo-pooing it with stuff like this by John Hinderaker at Poweline;
Tomorrow may bring indictments of Karl Rove and Scooter Libby on charges that can charitably be described as trivial. Tonight, one of our readers urged us to link to President Bush’s great speech to the Joint Armed Forces Officers’ Wives’ group rather than being distracted by the minutiae of the day. Good suggestion. President Bush gave another magnificent speech; here are a few highlights:
Gosh, I sure hope Cheney s pacemaker can hold out until Friday!
I don’t. That’d be justice straight from the hand of God!
Gosh, I sure hope Cheney’s pacemaker can hold out until Friday!
Sorry to disappoint everyone, but it looks like there will be no announcements today, per CNN.

Farris hates, hates, *hates it* when CBS passes on forged documents as true. But when the Bush administration does it, he laps it up like the lap dog he is. Sit, Farris, sit!
I missed the part about where I gave implicit approval of ANYONE passing on forged documents.
Tuco;
Iwoud think you are the one who wants it over. Can’t be easy, this death of a thousand cuts.
John Hinderaker and the rest of the Powerline gang have become so unintentionally hilarious, they officially qualify as self-parody. The post the above excerpt comes from is titled “Meanwhile, in the Real World…” Yes, the post in which Hinderaker shrugs off the upcoming indictments of top administraton officials as “trivial” (and remember hes being charitable) to gush over a speech that was painstakingly written and revised by Bush’s speechwriters is apparently a clarion call to return to reality. Hinderaker’s stuff is better than what they come up with over at SadlyNo.com sometimes.
