Irony Hits 1600

That the most secretive White House in history may be in trouble for leaking classified information for political points

But lawyers and others close to the case say he may be piecing together a case that White House officials conspired to leak various types of classified material in conversations with reporters — including Ms. Plame’s identity but also other secrets related to national security.

The Republican response might be along the lines of “but everyone does it!”. And the response should be “So, which other Republicans are leaking classified information, endangering our national security, in order to score political points?”

More importantly: Will I have more smiling Republican mugshots to add to my collection? Collect ‘em all, the set keeps getting bigger.

I don’t know .. the whole thing is such a mess – I still say this “mess” has Hillary’s fingerprints all over it.

Yes, Hillary strikes again!

    It would be refreshing if the Law and Order republicans would stop parsing the nuance of statutes and practice what they preach. The Rule of Law is more than a technicality. The spirit of the law is the true Ghost in the Machine . That seems a bit overlooked in all these discussions.

    I am actually surprised we haven’t recently heard Bill Clinton blamed for this. After all, the Rethuglicans used to say how he made lying acceptable to America.

  4. Semanticleo says:

    Cypher;

    Technically, it’s not lying. It’s more like withholding the truth. Big difference.

    “Hillary s fingerprints”?! WOW!

    Recalling the woman who sent the Bush debate prep tape to the Gore campaign, I thought about all the arguments about Rove and Libby and how no harm was done even if they lied, and/or outed Plame.

    This woman got a year in jail for her criminal act of ’stealing’ the tape.

    I really don’t want to hear anymore from you WHINERS regarding the ‘criminalization of politics’. Get over.
