Primary Games

I’m always wary of folks promising changes in the Presidential primary schedule, because we Americans are creatures of tradition to the point of absurdity sometimes. That said, I would welcome one or more western primaries, or any kind of primary in a state that just doesn’t reflect real-world demographics.

But I ain’t holding my breath for a miracle, either.

Actually it is the East Coast that has screwed up the process for too long. New England gave us George W Bush in 2000 and John Kerry in 2004. If Washington, California and Oregon votes in the primary actually mattered we would be talking about President Howard Dean right now. We have more electoral votes in those three states than all of New England. I don’t give a rats ass about corn fed yokels in Iowa and arrogant yuppies in New Hampshire.

Yeah, and Iowa and NH also led to Bill Clinton. There’s no magic button here.

Bill Clinton was my favorite Republican president.

He gave use NAFTA, WTO and did nothing to get us off oil.

For 2008 we need a real Democrat from the Democratic Wing of the Democratic party and not a DLC DC looser.

Who would you prefer, George Bush or Bill Clinton? Thanks, that’s what I thought. Best president of the last 30+ years.

Bill Clinton sold out the American worker when he signed NAFTA and the WTO. Clinton did almost nothing about our oil addiction. I will do everything I can to stop any DLC turncoat from getting the nomination in 2008. That means no Biden, No Clinton and no Kerry.

If President Carter’s oil energy plan was kept in place we would all be driving hyrogen cars and our troops would not be dying in the oil feilds of Iraq.
