Fighting Fristy!
Inbetween SEC investigations, Sen. Bill Frist decided to send out a missive to his email list affiliated with his PAC, VolPAC about the Miers nomination:
It’s like the President said earlier today … it’s up to the Democrats whether or not we’ll have a fight on this one.
But I’ll tell you … if a fight is what they want, a fight is what they’ll get.
(italics are his).
Somehow, this guy doesn’t scare the heck out of me (although this one could).

The biggest fight he’ll get is with his own party on Miers.
The GOP has to be embarrassed AWOL George just picked someone for the nation’s highest court whose main credentials are heading a state lottery commission and serving briefly on a city council. I guarantee you could throw a rock into a crowd of people and you’d likely hit someone who had better credentials than Miers.
Not many folks are buddies with GW – don’t you forget that – I mean he does not add just anyone to that list. You would have to raise at least 200K to get in the inner sanctum. So please cut him some slack.
He’s just picking up on Delay’s tactic of vociferous bluster. Maybe he was a good doctor., but I wouldn’t want him workin’ on me. There’s not much goin’ on there.
