Bush & Ethics
Tweet
It is possible to do something that, while unethical, is quite legal. Still, I don’t think unethical behavior should be tolerated in the White House. Evidently, the president believes otherwise.

When I saw the president duck that question at his press conference, I had to change the channel. It doesn’t matter whether you watch Bush, Scott, or anyone else in the administration, you are going to be lied to. All spin, and no substance.

Must…..resist…..Clinton….. jokes….
When someone has unethical and potentially illegal behavior going on within his own place of employment (Media Matters, Steele records, etc) I have to think that pretty much destroys whatever credibility he has to criticize someone else.
Not that that annoying detail would stop Oliver however.
hmmm…i feel that while getting brain on tax payers time is a poor choice, viciously leaking national security for the sake of the beltway blood sport may fall under a different level of ethical corruption…
Is it true that people with alleged poor ethics can’t point out others immoral behavior? I don’t see why.
External truths have little to do with the mouth from which they come.
Arguments like that remind me of some religious persecution arguments. “In the past, Group X has wronged others in some way; therefore, pointing out moral shortcomings in Group Y is invalid.”
Crappy argument, crappy discussion.
All the blogging, all the carping, all the bad faith negotiations by the current power brokers;
cannot muscle the ‘Big Mo’ of public awareness and press interest in the subject of political corruption that is snowballin’ as we speak. It’s almost on ‘autopilot’ and has a life of it’s own.
Rationalizations, justifications, ruminations, deflections and posturing will only serve to separate people who want to know the truth; from those who merely wish to hide it for self-interest.
Which one are you?
