My comment is directed at the large contingent of “libertarians” who nonetheless agree with 99.9% of what the Republicans say, and vote Republican in elections.

I see cons doing this all the time, running to the defense of their heros, and then when someone points the finger of partisanship at them they say “Who, me? No, I’m a libertarian”. I’m just looking for some intellectual honesty. If you agree with 99.9% of Bush’s policies, you are not a libertarian. You are a Con Republican.

Interesting how you so easily stereotype someone who disagrees with you on one point. Have you ever considered the fact that libertarians agree with liberals on the vast majority of social issues? But if you need to turn me into some sort of demon because I don’t think the DeLay indictment will amount to anything criminally, then go ahead…it says a lot about the type of person you are.

I would suggest (correctly) that if even conservative Republicans will support her (e.g., “Rice takes vote from Giuliani”), then certainly moderates will. You just don’t want to see it, because if a black person makes it to the White House, you want it to be your black person — like Barack Obama.

Why you couldn’t possibly accept her as President is beyond me, but then I don’t know why you despise Bush, either.

I sincerely hope that Condi gets the con nomination in ‘08, I really do. It will guarantee a Democratic landslide. I’ll even donate money to her primary campaign, if she has a real chance of winning.

But she doesn’t. You can crochet sweaters saying I heart Condi all you want, you can cut/paste Condi articles on your blog to your hearts content (even though you are breaking copyright laws) it doesn’t change the fact that Republicans don’t put black Republicans in office.
